Perhaps a post in the T3A forums again might generate a bit more interest? You could even ask Rob to put a small link in the next newspost if he doesn't mind ^_^ An apprentice type thing is something you could always advertise to get a few aspiring mappers interested, if that's what IP was looking at doing. Though i won't be posting any WIP maps here, i'm happy to put my hand up for a one-on-one apprentice/mentor type thing  As an incentive, you could mention that i can get any decent BFME1 maps into the Dwarf Holds Mod..

You could set up a comissions/request type thing, that mappers could work through if they find themselves bored/uninspired. I'm sure people would respond to a sort of "what features would you like to see in a map?" or "post any map requests here" type thread. I know there atleast a few mods out there that are looking for mappers, both BFME1 and 2. It's a matter of reaching out to them, rather than expecting them to contact IP :p

Well if the IP Leaders are worried about activity, shouldn't they be the ones to start up some projects to try and inspire everyone else?

Well the leaders including my self are ruthless dictators who depend on their slaves (members) to do most of the work xD Ok I might do something...

I've been active... as always... ... I'm wondering where everyone else went. But really... we just started not even a months ago, so I wouldn't expect too much going on yet. But remember, it's up to YOU to make IP a good idea.

But you guys who are in, feel free to start posting your map projects here instead of the third age. This is Mapping central and it's where people come to see maps, and it's what we did when we did projects. We posted our map progress at IP and informed the mods we were working for as well. And I've been plotting our forum design more than anything at the moment, so you plan fun stuff for the kids, Ron.

By the way Hal... how did you get my old signature phoenix when I took it down before you made that sig? It drew my attention almost instantly.

Hmm true, though activity isn't going to draw people in if they hardly know we're here :) I think IP needs a combined approach of activity and PR, to really start taking off. I'd also be careful to not get stuck into a "what IP used to do" sort of mindset. T3A isn't nearly as lively as it probably used to be, so following what IP used to do in the past might not work as effectively.

As far as the sig, it's a photoshop i did of a few different pictures:
here, here, and here. I remember hearing somewhere that IP half stood for Immortal Phoenix, so i thought it'd be semi-appropriate. I don't ever remember seeing you with a phoenix sig. You sure it's the same?

Okay so i thought i'd try an kickstart some activity around here, by creating a series of tutorials that i'll run out of IP  Hopefully it will draw some people in, and encourage people to ask and give advice here at IP. Could someone perhaps pin it please? If it takes off okay, i'd be happy to turn it into a collaborative type thing, maybe where a different IP elite could post a topic every so often. That way some beginners can get a range of ideas and topics, and can eventually form their own maps, questions, opinions etc. Let me know what you think :p

As far as mapping, i've been working on a very exciting project, but you'll just have to wait and see :p

How about for next week's T3A update I or Rob can put in a blurb.
Another idea is for a Modder interview I'm a couple months behind on that one.

That would be awesome :p I'll hopefully get the chance to post the first topic the next couple of days, so if you'd like, i can post the stuff in the update thread once i do.

I could put my hand up for an interview too if you wanted :p Though i don't know that that many people even know who i am outside of the TDH team :download:
