Well since i'm currently a bit bored of everything only including ultra and being blue... i just thought i'll post this and draw attention ^^

Fantastic mate. Don't suppose you know how to make a model change it's banner depending on which research is chosen? That way we could use your banners, we could make a standard bearer whose banner changes when the player chooses a reasearch.

E.G. he begins with a basic banner of a generic Dark Angels type. Then if you choose 1 of 3 researches, Fortitude, Devastation, Retribution, the banner changes to show one of your banners.

Hmm tricky, changing textures on models through research is next to impossible unless its somehow set to a hardpoint.
I wanted to do that for a couple of models in the Ultramarines techtree too, no chance.

Making 3 independent copies of the bearer and edit the wtp file for the banner bits would work though.
You could link each bearer to the research then.
We do something similar with branches over at the UM mod ^^

So i would dish the whole basic banner thing and get to choose which of the three banners you want (before the bearer even left the building for the first time) instead ^^


Btw i also have a chapter standard for Dark Angels

How many ppl are currently working on the DA mod btw? You require some assistance in the artsy department? ^^

Yep and we have to do the amazing Ravenwing Banner Bearer (on Bike) still but after the next internal build hopefully we'll be moving forward on that. Dying to see it in-game as it would be a DoW first.
