apparently thats not the case, as from what i heard he was not killed in a fire fight but was shot after or something.

Either way it was the right move though, as if they kept him alive you would have terrorists taking hostages to try and exchange for Osama's release.

Sudanese 'misunderstander' of the religion of peace calls Osama (... What’s his name ... the one from America ...) Obama an apostate of Islam, and the crowd demand him executed.

http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=qy4bc0MCD1s

Sheik ‘Atiyya Muhammad Sa’id: May Allah have mercy on Osama Bin Laden. May Allah place him along with the righteous and the martyrs, “on whom there shall be no fear, nor shall they grieve.” He sought not this world, but the world to come.

[...]

By Allah, the state of Islam will be established upon the land, whether the infidels like it or not, whether the Jews like it or not, whether that apostate ... What’s his name ... The one from America ... Obama!

Obama is a Muslim who has left the fold of Islam. Hence, Allah, the angels, and all the people curse him. He is a real apostate. Obama is an apostate. Obama is an apostate. He left the fold of Islam ...

Crowds: The apostate must be executed ... (repeat chorus 3 times) ... Allahu Akbar

------------

Comment: I really thought that, according to all the moderate islamic fundamentalists, it was Osama who was the apostate ... that Osama was the 'bad guy' and Obama the 'good guy' ... but with this and a lot of western progressives claiming that Osama's human rights was abused by Obama, I'm beginning to wonder who has got it all wrong.

Meh, some idiot with some idiot followers. It's not like its the entire Muslim world that is saying those things. Same way its not the entire western world that burns korans in Florida.

And to be honest, I don't really see how those photos are anyone's business. Just because he was an evil terrorist group leader does not somehow make it your business or give you the right to check out photos of his corpse.

Definitely is my business knowing whether or not he is dead. And I want photos to prove it. No photos, it didn't happen. It's public interest; for matters of personal satisfaction to see that a terrorist leader, who was responsible for encouraging like minded jackasses to kill thousands of people, is dead. If you make yourself a public figure, then everything you do, is public interest. It's part of the contract. We have a right to know everything. Even in death.

There's no such thing as respect for people who kill out of cold blood, or commit hate crimes, or killing innocent people. Just like it wouldn't bother me if I accidentally shat on the grave of a rapist. To be honest, it wouldn't surprise me if they didn't actually bury him at sea but desecrated his corpse, like drawing a cock on his forehead. Just like you would to a passed out drunk person. And then taking it in turns to tea bag him, before burning him and pissing on the corpse to put the fire out...

And once those pictures were released they would be all over the fanatics(both anti and pro) posters like Che is over t-shirts today... Not really what I want to see for the rest of my life.

The less evidence we have of his the less he can be turned into a martyr or symbol. The best situation for me at least. If you want to see shit because you can't believe what happened with all the information thats popping up these days... then nothing would really change if you did get to see the shit. You'd just go "oh photoshop-PHAIL this ain't real lolol" and be back at square one.
