The mismatch error doesn't refer to a mismatch in the version. It means there was a mismatch in game data for that session. There are many causes for this, usually it is related to the AI or a unit that somehow causes the players to de-synchronize. If the error gave any more data I would be able to fix it better, but I've never been able to narrow down the cause.

Between now and the next polished release there should be very little new art work done. Instead the focus is on designing, testing, and fixing. the mod has always been so close to finished that its nearly criminal. I'd love to see this through to the end with a real community effort.

so it's less likely to happen without the AI? Is there nothing I can do to decrease the chance. Here's something odd- I play LAN over three computers. Computer A joins with B and C, but computer B and C won't join with each other. It says one player has modified the game, but that can't be right because it works with the other comp.....*confused face*

I think I've seen that happen before. Not sure what the cause is, but it's the player having slightly different files. It seems there are some things that just don't register as "different version" to generals, despite being different. That being the case, I again suggest trying a clean installation of remix on all three computers.

And yes, mismatch is less likely without AI. Mainly because there's less stuff happening for the computer to deal with. I play 4 way games with my friends all the time, and we don't get mismatches too often (still happens, especially when we all just camp until we have superweapons).

Weird..... When I switch strategy at my bombardment centre, my entire base powered down for about a second......

Me and my friend were playing and we mismatched every time I built the Leonidas (I was playing robot macro, he was playing robot micro). We reinstalled everything and the mismatching did not stop. It was always as soon as I had finished building the Leonidas.

That's odd. I've had the leonidas in multiple games. It may just be because you're so late in the game, it happens to happen at about the same time. I'm not too worried about mismatches at the moment, since I have plenty of things to clean anyway, and all the clean up I've done should make the game run a little more stable. But I'll look at it.
