Sup,
I made this thread so people could post down strategies and tricks to use while playing bfme 1, 2 & RotWK because I'm not the only one but I never use strategy which pushes me towards defeat sometimes.
So please post any strategies you use that seem helpful when playing ;)

Lots of archers with fire. I always go for the strongest ranged and turtle (strong defence) until I have enough of them.

The only strategy I use is:
Build loads of farms,
Buy archers to protect your camp/castle
And when enough cash, I buy loads of heroes :xd:
I usually play as Gondor or Rohan :p
And then I wonder why I lose

According to Gamereplays there's only 1 strategy for BFME1 Buy Cavalry, Upgrade with FB attack their buildings starting with their Stables so they can't build cavalry.
Seriously it's the same for every faction except replace Cavalry with Troll for Mordor.

I don't do that at all......

BFME1- Always use Rohan and go for Elven warriors fully upgrades and Legolas, with loads of farms of course. always win never lose even if enemy is on hard.

BFME2- Elves, Men- I buy either Faramir and the Rangers or Legolas and Mirks. Upgrade them and still utter domination

ROTWK- Angmar all day!- Dark Rangers with witch king = OBLITERATION!

Ugh this thread makes me want to play BFME1 against people :( Anyway Rad is right, really if your going for a competitive match that's what everyone usually does.

It's an effective strategy that has beaten me before a few times.
The trick though is not so much the build or upgrading and all that, you have to be good at micro to be able to fully utilize the cavalry.

I sit inside the dwarf castle from TDH wait there for half an hour (because it takes that long to earn enough resources to buy enough troops for an attack) and then send out my unstoppable army of dwarf guards and heroes :tongevil: .

Meanwhile any player worth their salt would have isolated you in your base limiting your resources and surrounding your base pinning you down so they can take their time tearing your base down. ;)

I hate playing against Rohan when they're on Hard mode, those Ents :umad:
They seem to build 50 ents in 5 minutes :xd:

It's a shame, we can't really play against other people that easy anymore
You have to use hamachi and stuff like that :omg:

Although it's still possible at times to play T3A members on Hamachi.
Usually around the time a mod releases a beta.

As for my play style I've developed a more aggressive style over the years.
I'm a quick expander which is why I made the Expanding CPL thing in my mod.
