Well well well... Great Goblin in game  <^_^

Atm, the swarm is Moria goblins, but it will be changed to Goblin Town goblins

I think his texture could do for some more colour variation. Currently it looks too uniformly orange/pinkish, Not a huge gripe, but I think a bit more liberty with colouring would make him look much better in game.

Yeah, and I think the only reason he looks orange in the films is due to the yucky lighting...

Yeah, perhaps he's a bit too colorful. I can desaturate the texture

Might be a good idea. On a side note. I'm not sure the hill troll animations are good. He looks weird running around.

I know you're probably gonna rework the model to fit a different skl, so I thought I'd drop 2 cents in

Yeah I know they're not perfect, but consider the options and the pros and cons: This anim is unique, since CaH is not used in SEE, so no other models have it. Using the cave Troll anims would give him more anims yes, and ability to walk instead of run (unless attacking), but I would have to change his proportions a lot (longer arms and another posture) and when moving he'd basically look like another troll =/ Rogash anims are crap and Snow Troll the same, so there are no other options. I think he looks pretty cool, but I agree it can be done better. I'd also prefer more speech, even though I think it turned out cool with most of the phrases.

 

If I'm gonna remodel it, I want to be more or less sure that it's highly likely that the rigging will be better.

Well I played the Edain beta, where they use the same anims + your model, and I can tell you that the anims really fit this guy.

Yes. Exactly. If we use them we can slip past anim problems unnoticed. The closer we are to weirdness, the farther we are from stretching. It's the last thing they'll expect.

The Great Goblin dances more in the film than he fights, after all. ;)

 

The only real problem I see is the lack of a weapon, and the wrong dancing moves. But they've got the same proportions for the tummy, at least.

Yeah I understand. the majority of the animations are good for him. its just the running, its sooo not natural for the big fella

I think it's okay-ish. But not perfect for sure. You can really teall that EA didn't put that much effort into RotWK and what came with it, such as these anims. I can adjust the model to fit the regular troll anims, but it will make him less movie accurate in proportions and also, not sure anyone would like to rebind him - again  :whatoa:
