I don't mind. It was meant as a phone / tablet game, so how good would it have been in the end anyway? Likely not very.

They released Commandos 2 for PlayStation and Xbox. If they can make a game like this playable with a controller, it should also be possible to play the game on a touchscreen (in my opinion). Of course they'd have to put a lot of thought into the new interface. On the other hand, they screwed up the controls in Commandos 3, the game was almost unplayable to me without the hotkey editor.

Do the console games have good reviews? Just putting out a game on console doesn't mean it's good. :>

8,7 on PC. 6,7 on PS2 and xbox. I believe just controlling the characters was already a huge task on the xbox. I guess if you're used to PCs only the simplest of games can be played on a console.

Im used to both, and is not that hard. Console version do multiple commando and action selection harder, but you get to it after some time.

Exactly. Tasking multiple characters orders in the same time seems hard innovate on consoles, such as you have some but limited amount of buttons that serve purpose of fixed control scheme.

Typical post-Toy Soldiers character design rehash, completely off the previous games. Diver? Greeny? Sniper gives a bleak impression.  Cancelled for better. I suppose so.

Agreed!

They can use those silly cartoon characters and buildings to make an app about a pet zoo or something like that. But Commandos 1 was actually a serious game with historical introduction videos, realistic looking graphics (more or less) and the faces of the Commandos turned into creepy skulls when they died (they still haunt me in my dreams).

By the way, I don't think that Pyro Mobile will be around for very long. They have only a single app in the Play Store (with less than 5000 downloads) and the SSL certificate on their website expired a month ago. Well, let's see...

Sell shares with THQ Nordic, else handle them the legal rights for someone else candid enough to conduct further franchise developments. Of everything that happens with mobile studios lately, this seems a thought out decision.

Dare I say, only if it was me putting the final word, I'd draw a loan to bring life to Comm. I fucking love the games' idea, Commandos has real soul.

Well, I guess that puts a definitive close on any chance for a new Commandos game for a while to come ... a pity. Fan mods are the way to go for a while longer, I'd say.

Happened the day after the word slipped out on Twitter, 2012 yeah? We knew it wont live up to release, then games like this... destined to rest forever. Now lets blame esports for shifting the interest to other genres, VR shit and the like. Times change? Definitely. Things like rts games, never. There you go the real reason no such game came after Desperados 2 (minus Blades of the Shogun, worthy of a successor)
