Okay so about a month ago i made this post...

-----------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

I downloaded the game and the T3A:Online launcher, i also patched the game to 1.08 with the forshire All-in-one patcher. Then i created an account and went to play. I go to the online part and put in my username, password and nickname then click login, it takes a while and then it says this "Could not connect to the Battle for middle-earth™ II Online"

Any ideas? I'm desperate to play this with my friends.

Cheers  :)

--------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

Now my friend has the same problem. I instructed him the same way as you did to me But it didn't work. I am really wondering why.

Any help would be awesome
Thanks

If the firewall allows the game or is disabled and there is nothing else blocking the connection (what's in your friends t3a logfile in %TEMP% ?) then you could try to move all files out of the 'My Battle for Middle Earth II" directory in %APPDATA%/roaming/

We'll try moving the files, but what do you mean by what's in your friends t3a logfile in %TEMP% ?

In the search bar when you click on the Start icon type %TEMP% and press enter, it will take you to the correct folder on your computer.

Why you have opened the folder look for the file called T3AOnline_Log.txt that is what you want to find.

After moving the folders the game always crashes when trying to log in online.

Here is the text from the T3AOnline_log.txt...

----- T3A:Online Client Start -----

Did you remove the gamspy ip adress line in options.ini?

Did you check firewall and antivirus?

Keep all files and delete/move the options.ini out of the directory. Does it work then? If not did you try to reinstall completely including launcher and custom files?
