Kanes Wrath - unable to connect - please help

backend server unable to connect kanes wrath

Best Answer Jaggerandrews , 03 March 2015 - 04:54 AM

I FIXED IT, Thanks everyone. i re-installed it actually. i know that sounds like alot of work just to fix CnCOnline, but it was worth it. if the same thing ever happens to anyone else on the web, try uninstalling all local content and re-installing it. makes no sense but it worked for me.

Hello Admins and supporters,

I used to be able to connect and play kanes wrath online a few days ago(purchased from steam). but recently whenever i try to log-in i get two different messages;

"unable to connect to Kanes wrath online"

or

"unable to connect to backend server"

I looked at other suggestions and tried different methods and still have not fixed the issue.

-restarted computer

-re-hooked game

-disabled antivirus

-disabled firewall

-added steam desktop shortcut (as stated in another thread)

theres only like two things i didnt try yet and thats REINSTALLING the CnC-Online application, and reinstalling the game.

any other final suggestions? please help. miss this game.

You need to make a shortcut from Steam and THEN hook. If you do it the other way round, it won't work. Unhook, delete the Shortcut then make a new one and hook again.

Also, try running both Steam and the Launcher "As Administrator".

If that does not help, please supply your error log, following the instructions in the How to Report Issues topic, before we proceed further.

I deleted the shortcut on my desktop, i opened the launcher, unhooked, closed the launcher, created another shortcut while running steam (as administrator), reopened the launcher(running as administrator), Hooked kanes wrath, closed the launcher again, opened the shortcut on my desktop (which opened the launcher again) (just being safe) and then launched kanes wrath with the launcher as proposed. lol. im just trying to be extreamly clear. because i am alittle bit of a dunce sometimes. did i do anything unnecessary? or wrong? it didn't work so here is the contents of the Text. file you wanted. thanks again for the help and hopefully you can fix this for me, it would be much appreciated. On a side note, i had hamachi downloaded, so i closed it to prevent interruption.

Try checking the game for updates, I did that and it seems to be working just fine. I don't know how steam works, I was using origin but still....Worth a try right? :tiger:

Your game is patching correctly, so it looks like something is blocking your connection.   Please would you try removing the Hamachi driver / Interface entirely as they are know to cause connection issues, even when apparently disabled.
