Welcome back, Generals, Commanders and Comrades. We're pleased to unveil some new features and facilities on C&C:Online and Shatabrick!

post-148533-1447084569.jpg

A brief tour

  • You can join C&C:Online and set up your account from the new C&C:Online web site.
  • You can manage your account, change your password and settings, create new profiles (nick names) and add buddies directly from the new site.
  • You can disable and enable profiles so that you can have more than the current maximum number of profiles.
  • You can create hidden profiles to keep yourself anonymous.
  • You can jump straight to Shatabrick to look up a player or their stats and jump straight back again.

Get started with C&C:Online
If you're new to C&C:Online, you can make your Revora account and set up your new server login directly from the new C&C:Online site. Hit "Register" at the top of the front page to get started.

Setting up your Revora account
post-148533-1446472327.jpg

Please note that you can have only one account at Revora, so if you already have an account, you must not create another one and should ignore these steps. If you cannot access your existing account, please make a topic in the C&C:Online Support Forum on Revora.

Fill in the form to create your new Revora account. Your user name is the name you'll use to log into the Revora forums and the C&C:Online site and not the name you'll use to log into your game (where applicable), so you don't have to worry about it being too long for your game. You'll create a separate password to log into your game too (see the next section).

You will need to verify the email address you provide, so make sure it's valid. Once you have verified your account, you can move on to the next step.

Setting up your server account
post-148533-1446475375.jpg

Your Server Login Name is the name you provide as your EA Account Name when logging into Tiberium Wars and Kane's Wrath. To login to the other supported games (Generals, Zero Hour and Red Alert 3) you use the email address that you provided when creating your account as your EA Account name or email.

Your Server Password is the password you provide when logging into your game. That password can be completely different to the password you use to log into the forums or C&C:Online site. Please note that this password is stored as plain text, so you should make sure that it's not the same password you use to protect your important data.

Both your Server Login Name and your password can be up to 16 characters long (although they should not be less than 4 characters long) but can contain only letters and numbers (no special characters). You can easily change those details and your email address later on, if you need to.

Get online!
You can find all about getting online in each game in this guide; C&C:Online User Guide (skip over the part about creating an account at Revora).

In summary, to get online, you will need either the C&C:Online Launcher (if you want to play Tiberium Wars, Kane's Wrath or Red Alert 3) or GenTool by xezon (which has built in by C&C:Online support) if you want to play Generals or Zero Hour. We do not recommend using the launcher to launch Generals or Zero Hour. You can download the latest version of the C&C:Online launcher from the C&C:Online site (hit "Downloads" on the top menu).

You may also need to patch your game to the latest official version. You can find more information on that in that C&C:Online User Guide. The Origin and Steam versions of the games are already patched to the latest official version but you may find that you need to install the C&C Ultimate Collection Launchers by Bibber if you're using the Ultimate Collection.

Configuring your existing account and profiles

If you're logged in, you can edit almost all of your account settings by hitting "My Account" on the web site top menu.

Editing your account settings
post-148533-1446649256.jpg

You can edit all of your account settings from this page, with the exception of your email address, which you use to log into Generals, Zero Hour and Red Alert 3. To change your email address, you need to follow the link to the Revora Forums User CP and set your new email address from there.

The ability to set a separate Server Login Name is a new feature. If you're already able to log in to C&C:Online, you can continue to use your log in name at Revora as your EA Account name to log into Tiberium Wars and Kane's Wrath.

Editing your profiles or adding new profiles
Can view and edit your profiles or add a new profile from the "My Profiles" page. You can access that page, either from the top menu or from within the "My Account" page.

New Feature: Managing your buddies!
You can manage your buddies and send buddy requests directly from the new site. Accepted buddy requests will show in game.

Viewing another profile's buddies
The profile list of another player's profile will show on their profile page. You can look up the profile of another player from the "Profile" tab on the top menu, which allows you to search for a profile.

post-148533-1447065533.jpg

Adding a buddy
To add a profile as your buddy, look up the profile (as above) while logged in to your account and hit the "Add profile name as a buddy" at the bottom of the profile page. You will then be asked from which of your own profiles the buddy request should come. Select the profile from the drop-down list and a buddy request will be sent.

Accepting a buddy request

Buddy requests from other profiles will show on the profile page of your profile under Buddy Requests. You can accept or reject the request. Once you accept the request, the process will be complete and you will each show as buddies to each other in game.

Removing a buddy
You can remove a buddy from your profile page. In contrast to the way the buddy system worked under gamespy, removing a buddy from your own buddy list will also remove you from their list.

New Feature: Deactivating and Reactivating Profiles
You can deactivate and reactivate profiles, so you can keep your favourite profiles without exceeding the current limit of active profiles. Currently, there is a limit of 16 active profiles and if you have 16 profiles or more, you won't be able to make another one. Now you can deactivate profiles to get yourself below the limit. If you have less than the current limit of active profiles, you can create a new profile or re-activate one that you've deactivated.

Deactivating profiles
To deactivate a profile, hit the profile in the Active Profiles list (see above) to show the controls for that profile.

post-148533-1446723651.jpg

Hit "Deactivate this Profile" under Status. At the moment, there is no limit to the number of inactive profiles you can have on your account.

Reactivating profiles
To reactivate a deactivated profile, hit "Inactive Profiles" on the "My Profiles" page (above) to reveal a list of inactive profiles.

post-148533-1446728536.jpg

On the list of deactivated profiles, hit the profile that you wish to re-activate. You do not need to provide any confirmation but you should be aware that system will not allow you to reactive a profile if you already have the maximum number of active profiles; you will need to deactivate one of your active profiles first.

New Feature: Hidden / Anonymous Profiles
You can hide one of your profiles, so other players can't see who you are or what other profiles you have. You can hide an existing profile or create a new hidden profile. To hide a profile, select the profile from the list, and hit "Edit Visibility" under the Visibility section.

post-148533-1447057380.jpg

Check or uncheck the "Anonymous" check box, as desired. Please note that the system will not allow you to have more than one anonymous (hidden) profile, whether or not the existing anonymous profile is active or deactivated.

Shatabrick
Shatabrick respects the new C&C:Online features, although it continues to show both active and deactivated profiles, as it showed deleted profiles under gamespy.

post-148533-1447071807.jpg

You can jump straight to the C&C:Online web site page for a profile by hitting the blue "C&C:Online" buttons on the persona page.      Hitting the nick name under Ladder and All Nick Names (in Tiberium Wars, Kane's Wrath and Red Alert 3) will take you to a new detailed persona page (instead of Match Histories as it did before).  Match histories are accessible either from the green "History" button or from the detailed Profile page.

New profile details page
The detailed Profile page in Tiberium Wars, Kane's Wrath and Red Alert 3 will show you all of the statistics and level information available for a profile, as well as the statistics and rank for the current ladder seasons.

post-148533-1447073057.jpg

You can go back to the persona page for the profile by clicking large nick name at the top of the page.    You can jump straight to the profile on the C&C:Online site or to the profile on the Revora Forums too.

Hidden / Anonymous Profiles on Shatabrick
Shatabrick respects anonymous profiles by showing you only the single profile, without any Revora or other account information.

Thank you
We hope you enjoy the new features.  The infrastructural changes beneath the surface of the new facilities will allow us to add further new features more easily, so you have more to look forward to.   As ever though, C&C:Online is run by volunteers, does not make any kind of profit and relies on donations to keep going.    Donations are always appreciated and needed.     If you enjoy using the service, please do consider making a donation.     You can do that, either from the C&C:Online site, from the C&C:Online Facebook page, from the C&C:Online launcher or by following this link.

Thank you for that but I can't find any fault with the search form. Could you describe the problem (or Skype me)?

I followed the steps and i'm getting the error message: "The specified account or subaccount name wasn't found" for KW. I was playing online about 3 days ago before this update and I haven't seen anything in the forums about this. Thanks

You should really have made a support topic for that issue; C&C:Online Support.

However, the issue is probably that you need to use the exact capitalisation for your Nick Name and Login Name (EA Account name) as we have stored. You can look the nick name up on Shatabrick and make sure you use that capitalisation and use the same capitalisation for your user name as you use to log in here.

We are looking to revert that to the way it was before the change-over on Thursday (so that nick names are not case sensitive).
