Interesting piece on Sean Spicer's unfortunate position and, invariably, on Trump's insanity.

I'm going to keep a list of horrible things the new POTUS has been up to (as far as I'm made aware of during my morning 'trump news' search), with a red asterisk indicating supervillain-esque awfulness:

- Starting to dismantle the ACA without formulating even a hint of a replacement, risking the health of 20 million of his people.*
- Speeching at the CIA Headquarters, implying a possible 'war in the middle-east' to retrieve previously unclaimed 'spoils of war'.*

- Sending out his Press Secretary to straight up lie about crowd sizes at his inauguration, as well as to tell the press what they should be covering.*

- Straight up dropping out of the TPP - no negotiations, no meetings, just flatlining it and thereby wasting the time and money of his allies and so destabilizing inter-Western relations.

- Ordering a stop in funding to foreign aid organizations that also help in administering abortions.*

- Ordering the revival of the Dakota Access and Keystone XL pipelines.*

- Issuing gag orders to government scientists at the Environmental Protection Agency and Department of Agriculture.*

To be continued.

You forgot to mention that next week Trump will pick and hire a permanent nominee to be in the US Supreme Court Justice.

Also this just in: https://www.nytimes....rder-trump.html

The wall will finally be built ASAP.

And still Trump uses Twitter to embarrass people.

And the list goes on and on.......

Oh, the humanity........

I honestly think that there's no consistent moral way to justify at least mid to late term abortions whilst delineating between killing a child after it is born. Early on perhaps.

That said Trump is really disappointing me with the environment shit he's pulling.

Just be glad he wrecked the policing-the-world establishment, at least.

Jonathan Pie videos will be useful distractions as well for the next years.

So far my biggest worries has been that he is not able to let things go, "Alternate Facts", and puppets applauding his press conferences.

I wish this was a good old 'liberalism' versus 'conservatism' deal. You've got to be blind to think it is, though.

Trump has put out gag orders on scientific bureaus that deal with scientific facts about the reality and dangers of climate change. He's requiring all peer-reviewed scientific publications put out by these bureaus to be approved by his team (in which, as far as I've seen, are no scientists whatsoever). He is politicizing the world's biggest problem - arrogantly taking it onto himself to approve which facts are published and which aren't. Climate change will already have a negative impact on future generations, one that will be much worse if drastic action is not taken today. This is science, not some liberal issue. If you think it is, you're reaching very far indeed, seeing as you've managed to get so blindly polarized by American politics all the way from Denmark.

Did you miss Conway calling the obvious falsehoods coming out from Trump's mouthpiece 'alternative facts'? If your political orientation requires you to actively deny facts as basic as the size of a crowd when that fact doesn't portray you as the glorious revolution you think you are, you're beyond politics - instead, you're a delusional narcissist, and that is exactly what Trump is, and he's the one in charge of the most powerful nation on earth.

My problem is not that Trump is a conservative (if you can call it that). I wouldn't be 1/10th as shaken if some other Republican candidate had ascended to the White House. The problem is that Trump is a narcissistic lunatic with an ego the size of his fat fucking face, who refuses to accept both facts of importance (ie. manmade climate change is a real problem), and small, irrelevant facts (there were fewer people at his inauguration than there were at Obama's). He's a guy that seriously cannot handle the truth. It's the person that's the bigger problem, not his political orientation.

His inability to take criticism or deal with facts he doesn't like has caused him to actively undermine his relationship with the intelligence agencies at his disposal (agencies he needs if he wants to be an informed leader) because they reported things he didn't like during the last days of Obama's administration, and then turned around and lied about his own words (which are still available on his Twitter feed) and blamed the media instead while speeching at CIA Headquarters, and thinks he got away with it.

Aye it's the truth. His environmental policies are absolutely depressing and atrocious, and he doesn't know how to present himself with maturity half the time. I don't regret voting for him for the aforementioned reasons but I'm not going to deny his awful, awful flaws. He needs to be judged objectively. The sheer amount of Trump supporters rationalizing away his flaws is outright embarassing.

That said there's been fake news on both sides of the political spectrum. Few people really care about objectivity if it is pushing their narrative.

And yeah, the fact climate change was even politicized in the first place is depressing. It happened because of the odd pecularities of the American "right". The American right is the only right in the world that means something totally different - small government and muh free market. Both of these viewpoints have a vested interest in denying climate change due to the perception policies to mitigate it infringe on said viewpoints due to requiring government regulation.

And where do you think Trump get's his alternative facts? The 'news' channel proven to make you know less about the world watching it than if you don't.

Fox news asks Trump to switch the lights off and on if he's watching. The predictable happened

I keep seeing people going "aw libtards are so sad" and I wonder if they know that in the core of our democratic nations, liberalism is what allows us to speak that way to one another without fearing for our lives. I'm beginning to think that some "Non-liberals" people need to be reminded of this these days, but it seems they are hedging their bets on shooting first.

I wasn't talking about 'fake news' - I was talking about the Trump team being dedicated to denying the smallest, most insignificant facts if that fact damages Trump's ego.

I don't know why Mathijs doesn't want a new thread about Trump even though this discussion thread is still ongoing otherwise.

But anyways...

Forget about Trump vs the what, it's the world now. Probably soon more than half the world will hate and decry Trump and hope for a recall, but the US Constitution doesn't allow it unless you implement it with the Electoral College and not Congress. But would anyone want to abolish the Electoral College: http://www.huffingto...b_13111626.html

This is the thread to discuss all about Trump for the next 4 years, especially the 60 things he needs to accomplish or possibly fail: https://www.washingt...=graphics-story

Things have gone from bad to worse, something in just in the first week of the Trump administration this is something that Putin or even Kim Jong-Un might do but not like this.

-- At first, Trump is repealing the Affordable Care Act (aka ObamaCare), but unfortunately no official replacement has been made so it's stuck for now.

-- Second, Trump wants to build a wall between USA and Mexico, but has it started yet? No! There are conflicts and barriers on how to create a $14 billion USD on an estimated 2000 mile wall.

-- Third, Trump is banning and barring some certain refugees and illegal immigrants to the USA (only from seven countries and possibly more countries to add soon). Actually he wanted to limit population control in addition to prevent possible terrorist attacks from Islam/Muslim areas. Well what about Canada, Mexico and China?

And the list goes on and on.....

Most people knew that Trump can handle good business but not politics. Anybody who remembered Trump's inaugural speech about ending the American carnage certainly feels like creating a possible world carnage and "the beginning of the end". Well the big question is, how can you make America great again by limiting and restricting to do what's right without the possibility of reversing it?

Maybe it's about time I thought about moving to Middle-Earth and let US suffer.

Maybe it's about time I thought about moving to Middle-Earth ...

Well, for your information, in Middle-Earth there's also a total ban on migration into The Blessed Realm in the west, implemented by The Powers countless years ago. It's still enforced and working extremely well. Bon voyage. :themenace:

Don't worry, Com.  When the wall gets built, it'll be just like as Helm's Deep.  You can get a great job slaughtering tons of mexi... I mean, Uruk-Hai.  If you snipe a mariachi band, that still only counts as one.

That wouldn't be fair. They don't even stand a chance face to face with a Redneck Reverend, armed with just a homemade guitar:
