Gentool not working with alternative max camera height

I have a question. To make C&C Generals ZH playable on my laptop I adjusted the resolution and the maxcameraheight values in gamedata.ini, so that the game has a widescreen resolution and I can zoom out to a decent height. However, when I install gentool to play online, the resolution still works but I am no longer able to zoom out further than the standard.

 

I think it has something to do with gentools blocking adjustments to your game files to prevent cheating. However, I only want to play online with some friends who have the same modification of the maxcameraheight.

 

Does anybody know a fix to make the altered MaxCameraHeight work with gentools?

 

I think you would have much more luck asking that over in the Gentool forums on gamereplays.org. That is not really a C&C:Online issue or one we can help you with much.
