Unable to get the launcher working with C&C3 & KW

Best Answer meatball_in_burrito , 28 January 2017 - 07:29 PM

Please read the first issue, I didn't patch the game because it's not even available. I just created shortcuts, installed the launcher, and hooked the games. However, I did give it a shot and reinstalled Tiberium Wars, and nothing changed. It still shows unable to launch C&C 3.

Anyway, appreciate the response and here's the error log:

UPDATE:
I just read the log and fixed it myself, lol. Apparently I just needed to run the game as administrator and switch the game's network setting from the Hamachi IP to original IP. Thank you admin for reminding me about the log. I hope this thread helps other people who have similar issues.

I'm trying to get online play set up for Tiberium Wars & KW, both are on Steam. Multiple issues encountered when trying to follow the guide.

First issue:

The patch seems to be missing

Second Issue:

Unable to launch C&C 3 from desktop shortcut despite the hooking being done

Got KW launching after the second install but it just freezes

I've checked anti-virus and firewall, and no, nothing's quarantined or blocked, everything is white-listed.

I'm getting desperate, please give help.

Update:

Glad to report that KW is working properly now without the patch, but C&C 3 still refuses to launch.

You shouldn't try to patch those Steam games because they are already patched to the latest patch. You have probably corrupted the games by trying. I think you will need to re-install Tiberium Wars from Steam. Please do that and if it fails to launch, post your error log. See How to Report Issues for instructions.
