I'd like to know if there is any nuance between a squad which has a protection from morale damage, hence it is virtually like a machine, and a squad which will not break even if the morale decreases. Aren't both cases the sames in terms of the effect in the gameplay?

Practically, yes.

But remember: If a squad is broken (under any circumstances), the AI behaves differently.

Can you please be more specific?

What are the exact two scenarios you are testing?

It is the revision of the RoK, reading at the notes of the original developers; unfortunately not a full implementation of the concepts I think.

One leader attaches to grant morale immunity to his squads and morale regeneration for nearby ones, with another one the squad cannot break. I wondered why was this put that way.

I'm considering alternatives ofc.
