Well I decided to create this thread and I have been thinking about it for weeks. There are over 40 sequels, remakes and/or reboots in this year. But Pasidon has been right about one thing, many movies today are full of recycled concepts. Almost every good title are in this year except for James Bond, Mission Impossible and Avatar 2.

Here is a list of 2019 movies (and I will update them without notice) that are already looking like an instant fail:

I wouldn't say the Child's Play reboot is an "instant fail."  They've refrained from actually showing the new Chucky in the trailers, which I'm impressed by that level of restraint.  And Aubry Plaza stars in it, so there is a hint of intelligent casting.  And IT: Chapter 2 should be fine.  Everything else can burn in B-Movie hell.

8) Once Upon a Time in Hollywood
I am sorry, Quentin, but your excellent scripting in movies is making people falling asleep. We need exciting moments and thrillers and Quentin does not make them except Kill Bill.

What?

Jesus.

Way to invalidate your opinion on anything of value!

I don't know how LEGO Mad Max is going to top Everything is Awesome.

Remember that all worlds draw to an end and that noble death is a treasure which no one is too poor to buy. - C.S. Lewis

There will come a time when you believe everything is finished. That will be the beginning. - Louis L'Amour

What will matter then will be people. If relationships will matter most then, shouldn't they matter most now? - Max Lucado

I finally watched The Wandering Earth which looks better than Interstellar, but man, that's a crazy movie with impossible crazy ideas on a lowly $50 million production budget. How can you pull Earth through to another part of the solar system (and the Milky Way)? At least I finally got to watch a unique Chinese movie for the first time ever, and it may be the best Chinese sci-fi movie yet.

But that's not all, China may be on the verge on two more sci-fi movies this year, making China's first real sci--fi movies year zero: https://www.theguard...wandering-earth

Very excited to see the new Avengers movie. I think it's going to be mindblowing.

While this is the year that Star Wars and Marvel movies may be nearing to conclusions, there's not much announcements for future Star Wars and Marvel movies.

I do not know what happened to a Deus Ex movie (nothing has been done yet), but a Call of Duty movie is still in the works (with multiple future COD movies soon to be working in progress).
