Good day!

Since yesterday, I cannot play ZH online anymore.

I can connect fine to all players, loading screen ist good as well, all players load properly.

Then when the game starts its immediately stuck and everyone counts down until ~8000ms are left. Then the game works for 1 seconds, and immediately freezes again. The disconnect screen pops up again, and no players counts down anymore. Chat is working fine then and I can see when a player leaves.

It starts out just like the old "slow load" bug, but then the whole game ist stuck.

Has everyone experienced this??

Here is what Ive tried:

- Using my notebook on the same Router works fine, ist really just my PC

- Uninstalled Generals+ZH, removed all files and reinstalled it (Origin version)

- Disabled all Antivirus and firewall (even though connecting works fine)

- Killed pretty much anything thats running on the PC, rebooted several times ofc.

- Put a WiFi USB stick in my PC, disabled all other network connections

- No windows updates or drivers were installed since it worked properly

Still I always get the same behavior.

Has anyone ever seen this behavor?

Cheers!

ZH is a hard thing.

Have you tried watching this video?

Please! Please! try Windscribe free VPN to see if it fixes all of your ZH-Online connection issues!

You shouldn't use the C&C:Online launcher to launch Generals or Zero Hour.   If you are playing only those games, you should unhook and uninstall the C&C:Online launcher and install GenToolWhen you have done that, you just launch the game from its ordinary shortcut.     If you are using the Ultimate Collection, you should install this first; C&C Ultimate Collection Launchers.

Well sure, Ive played Zero Hour on this PC for years, there is definately no network issue. Connecting works just fine.

It looks like an unrecoverable slow load bug...

This bug has been around for a long time, and many have been afflicted. Some people have just gone and used a different PC when they couldn't get it working.

Perhaps you could try a VPN to see if that fixes things for you.

Ive tried using a VPN with port forwarding. I got the same result. I can connect to other players via VPN, but still the slow load thing keeps happening.

I will re-install my Winsows soon and hope that'll do the trick!
