HI

i got the ultimate collection of C&C for origin and i have followed every single instruction on how to set up the game with C&C online and its working but when i go into a game with someone or anyone the connection fails and cant play with the other players(basically everyone).

i have followed some help from other people but nothing seems to work.

im currently playing on windows 10

I got this from NATnegtest:

Received 3 pings from nntest.cnc-online.net:40000.
NAT negotiation works with your router and connection.
==> You do not have to use port forwarding.
Press any key to continue . . .

That has to be one of two things:

1. The connection quality is really poor (or slow) or

2. Your modem requires a TCP connection (the normal type of connection) from the source IP address before it will allow UDP connections (which the P2P of these games use) from that address to get to your PC.

The connection test makes a TCP connection so if the problem is (2) the test would be passed but you would not be able to connect to other players.

If it's 2, there will probably be a setting in your modem to disable that.

If it's 1, you need to improve the quality of your connection, say by using a cable connection to your router and trying to reduce electrical noise into the connection going into your router from the street or phone line.

I guess you could try to ask your ISP if they can help you with your modem settings.

Alternatively, you could try using a VPN. We have been recommending Windscribe as a free VPN and generally speaking people have had a lot of success with that. You get 10GB per month for free if you provide an email address and that should be enough for your playing needs.

No. What modem is it? I will try to have a look. No promises though. If you are having problems with a VPN, you need to mess around with the settings or try a different VPN. You probably need to set the Online IP address in Options-Setting-Network to the local address provided by the VPN.
