How to use Cryocopters?

Hello, USA main here. The video above is just one of the uses for cyrocopter I haven't released the other videoes yet. The initial cryobeam actually a decent amount of debuff so don't be afraid to get some in order to combat buildings or heavy units. You'll rarely reach the last stage of the cryobeam but at that point anything can kill the frozen unit.

For example, a frozen MCV can be killed by 3 stormchild missiles or a single mercury strike. So one of my favorite tactics is to sneak a Cyro into the back of the enemy base and then go for important tech buildings. T3, MCV or WF. I think it takes around the same amount of time to freeze for all kinds of buildings so feel free to target the big bois.

Btw cyrocopters are the answers to epic units. Got a centurion or a Madman that needs to be taken care of? Freeze it so that even a mere G.I can kill the big bullet sponges!

Tldr 3 basic uses, Base harassment, Epic hunting, and general debuff.

I'm been using the cryocopters in PvP lately, and I wanna test its capabilities somehow. When I build them however, I mis/improperly use them.
I micro them a lot to avoid AA and target a building, but the freezing kinda takes a while and even 4 Flak Troopers can shot them down before it completes it's freezing debuff. I once tried to use them together with the main attack force (was using US) but my forces manage to destroy the building before the debuff was completely applied.

I paired them together with US because Warhawks can catcj up with it for a short time when the target is freezed completely in PvE, but multi is a different and I have no idea how to utilized them.
Any good ideas or even guides on how to use them effectively in PvP? I mostly use US if that affects something.

I see now! I never knew there was an initial debuff too, should have paid more attention. I haven't bothered to use them against epic units and MCVs since I rely in brute force! My bad right there. I once sneaked them too, but always get noticed by my opponents, which means they're aware with the unit's capabilites or they're just really aware...

Last one, are cryocopters good to use against any infantry? (Like heroes or slow but tanky ones?)

Thanks!

I've also found it useful against base defenses, makes taking them out with minimal risk to the attackers easier.

It doesn’t need the maximum freeze effect to devastate the target, the maximum freeze would only really be against key targets such as MCV, WFs, Tech, and Epics, or anything excruciatingly bulking like mastodons and leviathons. If you try hard enough zephyrbot can also work with cyrocopters for singing purposes.

True, I also did this, but I find it really difficult once they get spotted. I quickly force them to run away, immediately losing the freeze effect.

Zephyrbot? Hhmm, I should try that soon. Thanks for the suggestion/Info!

Yeah, like NorthFire said, they're pretty good with epics and sturdy units.

Does max freeze stop MCV unpacking and conyard production like a Raccoon? I don't remember.

It does... It's EMP with armor debuff, pretty nifty if maximized
