HD Remaster censored?

For some reason they've censored a few things in the HD remaster such as swastikas, burning enemies, and even Japanese aircraft, but why?? 

The possible reason for a censorship of signs or insignia for instance, is that in some countries those are banned by law, if that helps you understand why.

But i'm pretty sure Germany lifted the ban of swastikas in games, so it makes no sense. I've never seen a game censor Japanese aircraft roundels before, who gets offended by Japanese aircraft roundels? i'm pretty sure no country has banned them either. Either way why have they censored it for every language? At least in the original version of Commandos 2 it was only the German version that got censored due to the stupid laws about violence and swastikas in games there back then. To censor the entire game for every region makes absolutely no sense.

Swastikas had to be censored in video games. This ban was lifted in 2018.

I remember that they cut all video sequences that showed swastikas or Hitler from the German version of "Behind Enemy Lines".

But I've never heard of displaying Japanese symbols being illegal. But there are a couple of instances where publishers self-censored their games to avoid any potential legal problems in advance.

If all the symbols are absent in the final release, than it's certainly not a HD remaster! Reminds me of the Star Wars re-releases

The hakenkreuz will be DLC. Is the camp guard still there? Or any camp at all?

I bet they censored the Balkenkreuz (Bar cross) too considering Japanese aircraft roundels are censored. At least in the German version of the original Commandos games they put a Balkenkreuz in place of the swastikas, here they just leave it empty..
