Red Alert 3 Connection Issues

Hi guys, me and a friend have been trying to get the game to work this evening and sadly got as far as our limited skills can take us. 

 

We're both running windows 10 and using the steam version of the game. We've gone through options.ini and deleted the port forwarding address, we've changed the IP on the game, but when we start the game it hangs on connecting and never does anything. I've got into the CNCOnline Log and found this:

I've tried the connection diagnostic tool and it connects no problem, says that I don't need any port forwarding. 
 
Apologies if I've missed anything, happy to provide any extra info. Any help would be super appreciated

Try setting the launcher to Windows XP compatibility mode. (CnC online)
