Hello I’ll try to be as detailed as possible. I downloaded ZH AND Generals through origin when I open the game with out gentool it opens and loads fine. Just can’t connect only. (Obviously I know you need gentool to get online. ) soon as I download gentool and open the game ZH OR generals I get a technical difficulties message saying there’s a serious error and could be a virus. I HAVE disabled all virus protection and turned off firewalls to try and get it to work. Still with no luck. I have also change the game properties back to work windows xp and set run as admin. Still no luck. I’ve tried about everything these forums have posted with no luck. So does anyone have any idea to get it to work? Like I said the game won’t even open with gentool installed you deleted it. It will open but of course no online with out it. Thanks

ok hmm i have a few ideas we could try in your docouments there is a zero hour data folder and inside there is a maps folder if there is something in there move it somehere else on your dekstop or smth just so the map folder is empty and then start yyour game again and tell me if it crashes again

My zero hour folder doesn’t have a maps folder. My general one does. And it’s empty with nothing in it? Should I reinstall and see if maps folder comes up on the zero hour one? Either way generals still doesn’t open so I wouldn’t think by not having a maps folder on zero hour it would affect both games. It still is crashing the same way.

if it does not help than okay thats odd i will forward you to someone else who will take a look at it pls be patient and sorry for me not being able to fix it

Still same issue I appreciate your help. It blows my mind because I got my brother to download it and it works flawlessly on his computer. But cannot get it to work on mine.

Yes I actually tried that today and same issue. It’s driving me nuts. Keeps saying the files might be a virus but like I’ve state I have ALL anti virus and fire walls turned off.

Try disabling Origin in Game and Cloud Saves. Also, what antivirus software are you using?
