Keep getting Serious Error 10 min into every game!

Hey all!

I recently installed the game on a new computer and I keep having my game crashing with the Serious Error about 10 min into every game I play... I am not alt tabbing or anything. I never had this problem on my old laptop... can anyone suggest any kind of fix for this?

I am running origins C&C zero hour ultimate collection. I followed dominators guide to installing so I have the windows 10 lancher fix already.

Is there some settings I need to disable or enable to stop this from happening? Can anyone think of antything I can do to stop this error from happening?

I am not sure exactly, could it be that windows fix that is causing it? Do you have a link for a better one I can install? I followed dominators guide on youtube and used that link, it was from cncnz.com

i usually always suggest going for genpatcher and installing the offline bundle   so i would recommend repairing your game installation and applying genpatcher to it

I tried doing exactly as you said and it still doesnt work :(

I have never expereienced this on any pc for zer hour in my 10 years playing. I dont know what to do. It lasts 10 min about then always crashes no matter what. One game lasted 20 min but I wasnt attacking much. As soon as I started attacking it crashed. Is there some kind of setting I should change in my pc?

I noticed the game freezes up... makes a repeating glitching noise for about 2 seconds then crashes to desktop with the troubleshooting serious error. It seems like the game is gettign glitched somehow, but its a fast brand new PC with a good graphics card. I am not sure what settings on my pc are causing this.....

That would be awesome if he can solve this... I have tried everything I can think of and it is still happening about 10 min into every game I play.

he is very busy with uni but i informed him and he will look into it as soon as he has time

1. Are you going up against AI's when these crashes happen? If so, how many and at what difficulty do you have them set at?
2. Are you launching the game as Administrator? The notable EXCEPTION_ACCESS_VIOLATION seems to hint at the game not having proper permissions for an action
3. Are you playing with a mod?
4. Have you turned off Origin in Game and Cloud Saves?
5. Have you tried playing in Windowed mode?

1. This is online games and it happens with any amount of players

2. Yup im in Administartor mode!

3. Nope no mods

4. yes I turned both of these off already

5. Yes it seems to slightly help but I always get the same error about 10 min in. With window mode it lasts an extra min or two it seems....

So I just tested it out and I can play offline skirmish no problem against as many hard armies as I want for as long as I want with no errors. The problem is when I go on revora online and play online then I get the error about 10 min in.

Couple more questions.
1) What kind of maps and game type do you play? Like Defcon 6, AOD, no rush etc.
2) Try to figure out pattern like immediately performing certain action crash happens.
3) Try to lower graphics settings

It can be any map and any amount of players. 1v1, defcon, TD, anything will cause it right around the 10 min mark on gentool. But it only happens online. I tried lowering the graphics but it didn't do anything. Its a nice expensive laptop with a good graphics card. It has something to do with online... because I can play offline fine with no issues at all.

Looking at the error again, I can see the word "update" in the title...perhaps it is getting an error when trying to fetch an update from GenTool? Or perhaps "update" as in updating the scene you're currently viewing?

1) Do you see the GenTool splash screen when starting up the game after applying the offline bundle for GenPatcher?

2) What antivirus do you have installed?

3) Try clearing out any custom maps you may have added to your game

4) Check that Options.ini is still present in your game installation; if it's not, make one

Hi Acrevv23, 

I'm also experiencing the same problem when playing zh online. I also checked and played skirmish with max hard armies and the game was perfectly stable. Now, when I play online I can online play between 10 to 20 min depending on how much action. Have you try the gen patcher? Could fix the problem? Looking forward to hear from you.

I get the warning: Technical Difficulties

"You have encountered a serious error. Serious errors can be caused by many things including viruses, overheated hardware and hardware does not meet the minimum specifications for the game. Please visit...."
