Hi again

I didn't know that there were problems with the development team of blitz, it was just a innocent advice :) ...

i will pay attention to my posts from now on and don't worry, you didn't offend me Indigo!! :)

just one question, if anyone has a possible release date for this mod, i already know that it is 40/50% completed, from an interview that i read, but a release date is always better.

goodbye and good holydays for those that have it!! not me...

I'd like to see multiple skins for a unit, like what you did with the usa infantry. Maybe a green skin for the zero and an alternative one for the tiger, since it would look out of place in the desert. :D
I hope you guys give new technology to the Germans and Japs, like some of their jet engine planes which could be gen exp points.

BTW can i help with the missions?
;)

Not trying to pressure you or sumthin', but do you have plans to add naval units in the future? I just feel so incomplete with no naval warfare in RTS games. :)
Perhaps the camera view can be modified to set it afar so everything would be easy to view for sea battles? Or perhaps scale the models itself to make it a bit smaller to match it with the naval units? I don't know...just got into me.

It already happened, so it wouldn't be a secret wouldn't it. I'll shut up about it anyway :)

I guess there'll be some modifications in camera viewing so everything that you see ingame won't be too big like in Zero Hour.

Naval units are hard to code unless you paint the beachs and slops as unpassable bountrys, even if you did that it would ruin the landing craft idea. Naval units could really only be possible as stationary objects and ferry like objects from the zh mission.

Hmmm, it'll be a shame without them.
But what the heck, I'm happy with TFH's ground and air units.
If still, they're gonna put them into consideration, I say put them at the end of the list of things to do. Wouldn't want to waste their time and effort on that one. :p

Don't worry there will be navy units. and who said any hting about not having a LVT2 for the usa, that can be coded just like the over craft and have in water stats :p and yes we are using that. ^_^

Cool! But there's no need to rush the naval Mongoose. I say concentrate first with ground and air units, and superweapons. :p

I also would like some of your skirmish maps with trains that are garrisonable (I found a tutorial on this one just in case you guys want it) that stops from neutral strategic points in some parts of the map, and a new model of the train is possible.

The Karl Morser for the Germans. ;) ... and some of those unique units in BF1942 Secret Weapons (anyone for a German rocketeer? :) )

Hello all

It would be very cool to make all heavy artillery units stationary. If we wanted to move them we would have to tow them with trucks. also crew membres for them, like in most of the rts that are focused only in combat, like panzers. i see games like soldiers - heroes of wwII and i am amased with the details, and at the same time sad, as there is no rts with base building that has that type of details. i haven´t seen a list of features refering to this type of things in the mod, so i am a bit curious how much this mod is going to change the gameplay of generals.

cya all, and keep up the good work.

Just about all artillery is stationary and can only be moved by trucks except the light ones that barly hurt tanks. The only type of artillery that can move by itself is self propelled howitzers. I like your idea, but making stationary artillery would be pretty usless because it would promote tutling and other bad things. Even moble artillery would promote camping. I rather have just the tanks fight, its more fun and evened out.

The thing I would like to see in this mod is more squad tatics by adding in different types of infantry, sorta like the way codename panzers lets you buy units in groups. It would be pretty cool to build a small squad of close courter guys and have them backed up with some rifle men. I would also like to see a upgrade for the rifle men to have there rifles or atleast the german ones changed into there more semi auto counter parts. The garrand is semi auto but has a low rate of fire so it would be changed to the carbine.

Yup, I'm also hooked into towed stationary artillery units, and I'm happy to tell you, as earlier stated by Mongoose, that those are already planned. Without those babies would be more than incomplete than not having naval. I would love to bombared an enemy base with stationed long range artillery followed by airstrikes with armor and infantry rush!

*cough* Karl Morser for the Germans pls *cough*

long range artillery followed by airstrikes with armor and infantry rush!

thats sorta how we have some things planed, we are trying to make make the mod as infantry based as we can while still having the abillty to use tanks and such, air wars will be another big thing too in the mod. but it all comes down to the infantry, with out them it really isn't a war. thats why we put so much time into there models so they can be enjoyabel as we could make for you. another thing is that we have made it so that tanks don't take forever to wipe out one man but in doing so we have also made the men get made a lot faster and cheaper depending on what team you are, EG russains will be abel to build there men really cheap BUT will have a hard time with money so they can't rush you. we are still working on that but you get my point. it wont bne like EA made it.

As far as the Karl Morser gose you may see that pop up in a few levels or such but i can't tell you to much. i have had it planed to get this baby in game.

isnt it also known as the thor tank?

Thor tank? Hmmm, not sure about that one, but what the heck, as long as that baby's gonna gonna be in TFH.

Great to hear that infantry will play a big role. And the choo-choo in some maps, Mongoose?
