Hey all. If anybody has any questions about the mod feel free to ask them in this thread and the dev team will be more than happy to answer them :)

(Note* do not ask when the mod is coming out, we have a lot of work to do and no dates have been determined yet)

well prepare for a big update coming soon (Ingame shots, Maps, Player models, more concepts) but when it will be released is still a good question. We will let you guys know a month or a few weeks prior to release and we'll include a playable demo before the release so players can get a feel for the mod and fighting styles.

Btw, read the above post combat made....stop asking when it will be released :)

Dumbass, the whole reason I asked was to be annoying, I saw his post with the note, it was there before I posted.
Oh, and,
WHEN WILL IT BE RELEASED?

For the Norse battles r u including some with the north american indians.
Also will you be including some of the Edinburgh Castle battles. Will some of these castles have defence sytems like aroow loops, drawbridges, moats, boiling pots of oil and tar etc.

well thats a good question. Im not going to answer the first part of your question officially but we have something planned :p

anyway, i like your idea about arrow loops. Now that you mention it we might add it into siege type maps. But you will see moats, drawbridges, and boiling pots of oil.

well first off, register so that we dont have to keep guessing who you are lol.

But to answer your question, Our main goal is to stay historically accurate and it would be boring siegeing the same castle walls and same castle layout over and over again in different maps. So expect to see about 10-15 different variations of castle walls or castle setups (Wooden pallisades, Concrete blocks, Iron walls, Fortified walls, Barricades, ect)

This seems the best place to put this so...
I have a suggestion for an english, frankish, teuton and italian soldier...the peasant, the lowly peasant with no armor and a pitchfork, mabye his special ability would be to drop baskets of food to heal players..since, hes a farmer...mabye he could be somewhat good vs cavalry?

Mabye he could replace the spearman with a choice of spear or pitchfork..eh?

Just my $0.02..

Cheers!

well like i said before, classes are already finalized and we actually have it where we want it. The peasants you will find in towns, castles, and villages will only be on siege type maps because we want it to affect gameplay in a way where defending is even more vital then ever.

are you going to make your own custom explosions? this might seem dumb, but the explosions in BFV really wouldn't fit with medieval type battle, with all the fire from the catapults and all. btw, will you have "live" fire which stays in place? like, when you fire the catapult, there's a fiery explosion and then fire spreads all around? that would be awsome! especially if it acted like barbed wires (lose life, decrease speed)
anyway, im positive that this mod will truly rock the very foundations of the BF engine. good luck!

theres only one army that carries deployable ladders. Everyone else uses the siege towers.

In any case, your just going to have to wait and see. The DoC team are hard at work and we wont dissapoint you :p

I got a question:

Youre guys forums have a few more pics of models and screenies than the actual site does. I think you should gather all the pics on the forums and update the site around the different pages. Are you going to do that eventually?
