You may see a post below this about the plans for Defcon. As always seems to be the case, they change. Due to extreme time constraints, and commitments to other projects, I will not be completing Defcon 2.0. I still do plan to release a patch for version 1.0, which will include 2 new structures modelled by the_hunter, some model and bug fixes, and hopefully a few other enhancements. I'm sorry if I disappointed anyone, but this will allow me to devote more time to a few of my current projects, including my ongoing work within Revora, my work with Derelict Studios, my work with Vietnam Reborn, and my many other miscellaneous projects. I'll have more information on the release date, and contents of the patch when I get time to work on them. Thank you for your support, and I hope that at least a few people have enjoyed Defcon.

Well, when it comes to writing an expository essay about counter-insurgent tactics, I'm of the old school. First you tell them how you're going to kill them. Then you kill them. Then you tell them how you just killed them.

Damn, I had wanted to how good this mod can get to be but if you think this is the best solution then I will respect that too.

I really just do not have the time to do Defcon justice. I'm currently developing a pair of private projects that are unrelated to modding, and the combination of those and my other mod work means that this is going to have to go. I'm going to release the patch, which will include all of the work done by the_hunter, including 2 new defense structures, and several model fixes. It will also resolve a few other issues, but will not be the planned revamp.

I may allow it. I am still going to be developing the patch, which will hopefully add the last few things that I want to consider the mod complete. Beyond that, I'm not exactly sure what will happen to Defcon.

Post the news on modding forums and see if anyone will take over it.
