Hey all, I have released a public beta of the mod, you need Yuri's revenge 1.001 version to play.

Please for all intents and purposes enjoy it while considering it is still a beta so bugs and stuff can be expected. ;)

must be xcc launcher not suited for your system, maybe compatibility modes help?

I can make a usual unzip version of mod for these cases but will be missing on quite a bit of sounds ingame.

Edit: seems to be an xcc launcher issue in XP Pro,i'll make a extractable version of mod that will be compatible in online play with the launcher version with some ingame sounds missing until olaf can fix this.

edit2: or maybe its cache memory or something running out in extraction process to memory and then to mix files...dunno..

edit3: i have non-launcher version available but i hope to give it only when needed so if having probs, i can pm the link.

Same thing. Didnt even use compatibility.

BTW I love the mod, been playing it whole night ^_^ First started up and a medium ai rocked my base... lol :p AI rocks, seriously. Reduce the screen shakes though, its getting pretty annoying on small maps like kalifornia, when the screen is shaking almost constantly.

The shaking is the tiny blast wave from tank explosions, I felt in original game you hardly noticed several tanks blowing up but if majority think its annoying feature instead of coolness it can be removed for newer versions. ;)

Then again I have been testing this mod for a bit, so I've learned to know what to expect. All I will say is that Allied Legion players have an advantage with their teleporting tech ;)
Oh, and be sure to make the most of tactics. You can use garrisoning to massive advantage, and I don't just mean by piling more men in, either :sad: *wink wink*

I think i can take the AI just about now so im going to go try and beat 5 AIs.

Like i said on msn, love the mod and the AI is amazing.

consider brutal level uber cheater AI that will never stop and I don't suggest taking so many AIs with my mod unless you can truly take the carnage created or at worst your comp begins lag ;)

2 brutals can be deadly enough for most. but unless your hard core player i recommend stay with medium :p

i always play with brutal and i could do 2 brutals but i suppose 3 would be a challenge but any more then i think I'll pass out ;)

I agree it's tough to hold off the other AIs while you press an attack, but I've already given you half the battle with my telling you that the Legion's teleportational skills have an advantage. Have a look at the Detabase if you're unsure ;)

The AI seriously depends on the side... the Allied AI on Easy kills me within minutes if I'm not very very fast. The Nexus & Soviet AI on medium seem like good opponents.

I noticed something odd... on Easy, the AI surrenders from the moment I manage to destroy a few buildings. I mean... WTF man?

Yes he's right. One time I just destroyed three power plants of Legion and it sold whole base :p

they didn't sell it... they just... made everything blow up. At first I thought I accidently put Short Game on... only I didn't kill their CY; just a power plant.

K, I'm having a problem with this mod. First of all, when I extract the launcher (Using WinRAR) into a custom made folder, I opend it, and this "Search Open File" mini window came up. So I chose the custom made folder as the location, then typed in rstorm19beta.exe in the file name bar, then clicked open. And then I got the same thing as Martin Killer got. That "error reading mod" message. Any suggestions on how to fix it? I have Windows 2000 Pro., and compatibility mode doesn't work.

I guess redownloading does not help and the exe file extracted without problems?

and could you check if the extracted file is 26,4 Mb (27 757 583 bytes) exactly? (ignore the disk size, just the file size)

since problem is coming more common looks like i must get older xcc launcher to use for the mod to guarantee working. :)

unless olaf comes with a fix, next release is by 1.09 launcher which has not had these problems :p

i just need to get some work done for that.. :p

i have a problem when i click the rstorm195 and i click mod i begin playing but have no new untits :) :sad: :huh: i really wanna play rs so i hope u guys help me. :ohmy:
