No worries. Of course if you do want it, I'll be happy to help. I've been working on a skeleton so the blade fans when swung.

Here's a test of grabbing the vertices of the bade, which the fan bone'll be attatched to, and yanking them as they would be when animated... I think I had a better pic which I showed to hostile.. I'll have to dig it up.

I'm not sure if I have time to be a prominant part of this mod, but I'm going to build up as many spacecraft as I can and I'll let you use any that fit in the clone wars (earlier star destroyer classes, etc.)  I can't (haven't tried and don't want to) model people, but I might do a few mechs eventually, so I'm limited on the ground front.  Contact me if your interested, and maybe a list of possible units you might need.

<{POST_SNAPBACK}>

Gondolin the Republic Attack Cruiser is a early star destroyer. The only difference is the this one has kind of two 'command bridges' if you know what i mean.(i don't really know what it's called  but Posted Image
that is basicly what i mean. one tower and two top points.)
and it has some red texture as a mark

Yeah, good find, I'll build that one eventually, so far I have three ships modeled, I think two of them were around during the clone wars. I'll post pics once I get them more finished, maybe skinned. I have a huge cue of work ahead though, about 15 ships all together...great practice and not too difficult...low poly, not too many curves...what am I waiting for? until i get to the mon calamari...

i have just finished a hailfire droid (the one with big wheels) does anyone what to skin it? it wouldnt be a very complex skin really.

What about the Republic Assult ship from Ep2? I've developed a love for this ship since playing Republic Commando and seeing it bombarding and doing the ghost-ship missions.

Ok, here's some screens of the ships I've done, and some info.
Posted Image
This is the ISD I showed you before with a few tweaks, I'm still working on coding it. By the way, all of the textures are just so the models don't show up blinding pink in the game, I haven't skinned them yet,

Posted Image
This is a Dreadnaught-class Star Frigate that the old republic used. Its slow and not very well armed but it has its uses.

Posted Image
This is the Carrack Star Frigate. It is a small but fast attack craft.

Posted Image
This is a comparison shot to show the size scaling and their length in meters.

In terms of in-game scaling it can be whatever fits, but if I accurately scale every ship including the fighters, the scale difference will be gigantic. However, I figured out how to extend the zoom function- as much as I need. And I can also control the pitch of the camera so that you can go into first person view of a map.

Edit: The ships I'm planning to build next are:

Lancer Star Frigate
Imperial Star Galleon
Victory Star Destroyer
Acclamator Star Frigate (one of the Republic Attack Cruisers someone refered to)
Immobilizer Star Frigate
Dominator Star Destroyer
etc...these will take me awhile, but there are plenty more to do.

well if somebody need any ideas just check out the episode 3 stuff, episode 2 stuff, episode 1 stuff. actually the episode 1 isn't in the clone wars but it's nice to have something.
And HERE is a own link to the clone wars  . and here is the index of all films and some 'extra' stuff that is maybe after the last film, before everything (sith war?) and some other stuff. and for those who haven't seen star wars, shame on you  , can see the real models to compare with the models on this site(or halbarad's units, very nice by the way, yours to Gondolin) i'm also trying to get on the mod. I am making an clone AT-RT(All Terrain Recon Transport) for showing my experience(only hope it's good enough.) i've sent Log a pm about it but i won't get an answer before I am back again, i'm leaving an a vacation on friday(horrible) and will be away for a couple of days. Hopefully my model is finished before friday(hopefully the Beta skin to)

That is a nice site, I've used it a bit in researching the spacecraft.

I managed to finish another model tonight. This one is the Imperial Star Galleon.
Its a cargo ship with specially designed anti-capture features. Its cargo hold can be jettisoned if in danger, which then enters hyperspace with a homing device for later collection.

Here's the concept art I used.

The model.

Most of these should be able to be used in a clone wars mod, I'll just keep making them.
If anyone wants to help me skin all these I would be grateful because I have quite a bit of work cut out.

yeah we should be able to almost have the ships at the right sclaing as long as we have extended zoom in and out.

also on landim going to make the units about half the size of the current ones in b4me, so we can have more units on the map :p

btw all of your ships look great but the cargo hold looks a bit big on the last one, are you going to make some smaller fighters?

also is it possible to have a load of fighters garrisoned and then when enemies get near they swarm out and attack?

I can make the cargo hold smaller, I just made it as large as it could be (without coming out of the front of the craft) since its supposed to hold 100,000 metric tons, lol, maybe I went a little overboard.

As for fighters, that would be very cool to get them to swarm out and attack if an enemy gets x distance from a ship. It might be possible, like the rangers pull out their swords at a certain proximity from enemies.

I plan to make some fighters (mostly the various types of TIE fighters as I'm building Imperial craft right now). They will be very very small ingame and so very very low poly, i could just make them out of two sides planes almost. The ties will be grouped into squadrons of 12 so the actual selectable mass of a TIE squadron won't be too small.

I'll experiment, right now I'm trying to build up as many capital ships as possible.

dain, that was me. sorry and yes i do know how to talk to modders but i obviously forgot in that pm. and if u say that i know no better, you are insulting the 3rd age website as i have watched this website for a long time as a guest before registering. u said that u would donate it to any decent sw mod out there so i jumped to the conlusion that you should give me all your models. lol i had the flu that day so i was in a bad mood.
