Hi.
Am trying to set up a multiplayer game on ss2 with one other guy, but cant seem to work out how to do it so for example, when i click create, i cant get any maps or when i click join and do an IP search, i cant find my friend.
Any help would be gratefully received!

Hey DavidDavid, welcom to these forums.
Sadly enough i can't help you with problems with Sudden Strike 2.
This forum is not ment for the game Sudden Strike, but for the Ra2/YR modification "Sudden Strike".
If you own Ra2/YR as well, you may want to give this mod a try or check out the Ra2/YR Total Conversion D-Day.
About the connection problems with SS2, you may want to check with your friend if both of you are patched to the same version. That's a requirement for most games played over the net.

Andre 2.7 will break down on occasion, resulting in garbage and nonsense messages whenever it occurs. Usually a hard reboot or pulling the plug solves the problem when that happens.
