so there can only be eight different tanks to make? or can you only make 8 tanks, or can you only have eight tanks in the contruction process? :)

LoL - this is the second time in a row with post that I started a new page :)

by tanks you mean the forth part of the contruction menu like you couldnt have eight tanks, a miner, anti aircraft

also if you can only have eight vehilcles to choose from n this mod, in other mods you could have more than eight "vehicles

but if your talking about only eight tanks of the whole thing of vehicles I think thats enough.... (unless they make a rock patch that makes it so you can have more than eight tanks... that would be cool)

Rockpatch? What? You can have ~74 icons in a single build menu without issue.

I think this has been said before, but the mod will use different timeframes for gamemodes (like "1939-1941", "1942-1944", "1945") and although there may be 14 US tanks overall, say, you will never be able to build more than 8 in any specific gamemode.

Other mods don’t have seven different sides with there own tech trees

Rattuskid knows what I'm talking about too, 14 is a bit low tho... it will probably be triple that ^_^

You can break the 100 units limit with buildable units though. The ai won't build them, of course, but it seems perfectly acceptable to use the secret tech lab tags on buildings like tech centers to have them always allow you to build techlevel=-1 units. In theory, that should prevent the AI from breaking as it isn't considered at techlevel=-1, kinda like civilian cars, but the player could still build them.

Yer I know about the secret lab workaround, but because the AI won’t build the units from it I’m not going to use it.

Don’t tell me you don’t know about the Leopard, it’s the original Tiger! Developed early on in the war (1939) it only reached prototype stage but many things learned from it where used later in the Tiger. The main feature carried over being the turret designed for the Leopard was later used on the Tiger (P) & in turn then used on the Tiger (E).

Best pic I can find, all the others are of the turretless prototype...

another question: will there be some "doomsday project" as the orbit bombers and A9/A10 ICBMs?

(maggot: it certainly not a IV which you can have lots of pics everywhere  )

Thx a lot, guess it's perfect in 40-42
1/3 lighter than panther however still armed with 88 and armored 80...
and unusual speed for german panzers
it makes no sence why they have this in hand while worries T-34-76 for more than a year...
it would have been the best mid tank in ww2
if only all this statues could be achieved successfully... :shiftee:

It wasn’t used mainly for the same reasons as the Tiger (P), the Porsche Type 100 engine was a brand-new design & had major reliability issues, the fuel consumption was terrible too so it had a limited range. Saying that tho the Type 100 was a neat idea of combining a petrol engine & electric motor to independently drive each track, this provided superior manoeuvrability & speed but in the end the fact that it broke down all the time put an end too it.

Porsche also designed a Type 200 engine that used a diesel instead of petrol engine, this fixed the fuel consumption problems but I’m not sure about reliability as it was never built & tested. In theory tho it probably would have made it’s way into the Kingtiger (P) (have too look into that :shiftee: )

"Ausf." or "Ausführung," is simply a German term for model, and is always a letter, rather than a number.

Just as the British would have "Mk 1," the German would have "Ausf. A"

[The prototype wasn't used in combat, in fact it never even got a turrect & weapon... /QUOTE]

In fact, it never even had a complete prototype. Of the 3 hulls ordered, only 2 were delivered, and as none of the 8 ordered turrets were manufactured, concrete circles were used to simulate their weight in trials.
