About Gameplay: RARE. A lot of great games on the old Nintendo Consoles came from this compagny and it still brings darn good gameplay. I think its a bid stupid to say there wont be gameplay, because i think a lot of announced games will make sure you GET gameplay. I cant Judge Sony and Nintendo yet, sicne they have been quiet. But i semi trust Nintendo

But Im carefull hyping the Rev for the reasons that I havent seen games yet and for the fact that I dont know weather myamoto can still be trust. Come on he said he doesnt enjoy gaming anymore. And what was the reasult of that: Nintendogs. It sold, but was it a GAME. NO it wasnt. Other myamoto game, Pikmin. It was origional, yes, it had gameplay yes, but I still think it was not complete enough.. it was a concept game IMO. And im loosing my faith in Myamoto. He wants to bring the family into gaming. Well if you read his interviews right you'll notice he hint that everything will be accessable and stuff, making me expect some sort of minigame paradise. I really wont say "OMG Revolution ownz" untill E3 2006, when I know something about the games.

You're right they have been oddly quiet, but Twilight Princess definetly renewed my faith in Nintendo as long as they keep the game half as good as the trailers they gave us. Maybe Myamoto's on his way to retirement, but he's not running Zelda anymore. Hopefully they have another creative genious somewhere in the company to fill in.

Based on what I've heard so far, I would say that the Rev could easily win the market if they make the right moves. How long can Sony keep piling on medicore games? How long can they or Micro keep showing off graphics until people realize they don't really matter and that most games won't take full advantage of the console anyway?

With the new controller, Nintendo's definetly on their way to bringing in the whole family. They tried with the DS, it sorta worked, but I don't think they can ever get the older crowd on handhelds again because the screen is too small.

ive played on The xbox, and what ive noticed they havnt brought out many games specificly for the Xbox, the majority are games like Quake 4, Cod2 etc witch you can get for a pc. witch renders the 360 a bit pointless, however its a sweet little machine, and Gun looks better than it does on the adverts and the gameplay is fun but again its something you can play on the pc or ps2.

overall though, i wouldnt buy a 360 the ps3 is going to caine it, games wise. and longlivity.

PS3 has the same problem though because most games for it are on other consoles. The 360 and Rev have a lot more exclusives, probably because of the online network and controller respecively.

And the fact that Sony's support to developers is t3h suck. Their consoles have always been hard to program and sony doesnt try to help them by doing some stuff. Only reason so many developers make games for the PS2 is because it sold best. MS and Nintendo give a lot more help to developers. MS has XNA and Live network, Nintendo is just really constructive and helpfull.. Sony isnt. Thats why I hope the PS3 will fail, I seriously think it would benefit developers and thus gamers.

Yeah that would be cool if Sony dropped out of a maarket... or a meteor hit their HQ building in Japan or wherever

Then Micro and Nintendo would get all the third parties and we only have two consoles to choose from! Plus we get more games!  ;)

Well geezes you are really nice  . I rather bomb all three and rebuild Microsoft and sell cheap PCs and cheap PC parts so I can play Warhammer 40k for chirst sake  .

Extreme advance PC for $600 and PC parts between $50 and $180. ;)

Well I don't want to spam up this post but I am wondering if this is true.

I was browsering at G4 TV forum and I came across this: http://forums.g4tv.c...318&STARTPAGE=1

I heard it was on the news that over 50% of them were defective. Microsoft: "Less than 5% of the first shipment may have overheating problems..." uhh... Would 5 make the news? Cheap liars!

50% is redicilous.. it might be a bit higher than MS says, but 10% at max..

I just looked down at the overheating issues. It would still haveto heat up more than others because my PS2 is sorta confined and it's never overheated.

Vanguard in Project Raptor mentioned a little tab in the back to punch out.

Its a first production number.. those are alwayts crappy.. look at the PSP release, with all the dead pixels, so unless you know someone who has had a PS2 out japan from the beginning (American PS2s where allready fixed by that time) you cant actually compare..

I heard the PS2s were still buggy and most of them stopped working before too long. And not necessarily because of abuse either.
