And cause imbalanciness. The best suggestions are usually the ones that would fit the balance of the mod and game. I have yet to see one. Besides, having a tank that can deploy into a stronger-than-the-original Prism Tower would render the static defense tower useless, and as Nemoricus says, the Prism Tank as well.

Hint to people with "ideas"; something ingame isn't new. A better version of something ingame makes the stuff and balance of the ingame stuff useless. Something should never have more than two uses, and at least one weakness (like Flak Track, vunerable to tanks, AA & transport).

the idea is pointless cos

1) AI is very dodgy with deploying units

2) Its basically a mobile prism tower

3) Missiles on it as well? might as well give it aa mayan prism tech

If I'm honest those the suggestion threads are bad ideas because

1) you get spammed with random ideas or stuff which is not possible or has lots of bugs

2) it sort of shows you lack a creative edge in creating new stuff, especially if no work is avaliable to evaluate on.

This I do agree with.

This I don't. I actually have everything planned out, but this is incase someone has some sort of idea that would work and I haven't thought of, and it can keep interest as people want to see their idea brought to life. The lack of progress is due to my mock GCSEs at the minute, which I cannot ignore to work on this.

How about a light scout tank for each side...
Allied-miniGun(jeep w/ more armor+Treaded)
soviet-light Rino and faster than allied grizly
Yuri-a drone (no wepons) has a psychic sensor on it.

how about an allied ifv battleship
it has a standard gun turret plus an open slot for a BASIC tank
such as the standard ifv or grizly could enter as a support gun on the ship.
no Appocolypses or Battle Fortresses because they would be too big and powerful

I already have light scout tanks for each side. Allied and Soviet tanks are small and fast with light cannons. Yuri ones are stolen tech, one hovers (stolen from Allied lab), one is armoured (stolen from Soviet labs). FF's Stingray tank is a mix of light and medium tanks, so I left out a scout tank for them.

That wouldn't work, you can't have 2 IFV units, and vehicles would need to go on the water for that to work. It's just too complicated to bring into the game, sorry.

Then how about this:
a terror drone style scout drone for the soviets?
not my best work... its about 4 years old in concept.

I already have units filling the scout role for each side, your Terror Drone scout idea is good, but I'm not an asset artist, I work using downloaded assets, and if I used the existing TD art, then people would get confused between the TD and the scout one. So, this is about the best idea I've heard so far, and you have a good concept, but I have no resources to use for it, however point me in the direction of an SHP that looks like this and I may implement your idea.

Terror drones are scouts anyway, they're fast so can cover the map easily, and are capable of taking out other scouting parties, although useless for an assault. Also, like scout units, it becomes more obsolete later in the game. Increasing its sight may be justifiable, but I don't think adding a clone is.

I wasn't going to give it the Parasite capability though. I was thinking of arming it with a weak weapon, like my other scout units are.

Not really. The mod's in the process of being beta tested at the minute, so nothing more will be added for now, except RPCE compatibility (and 1.08 SE incompatibility as CE changed quite a few tag names).

DropPods for FF
Landborne Reinforcements. (Check D-Day News for this one.)

DropPods for FF

I was thinking of using the Drop Pod logic for a SW in the planned Space War mode.

Landborne Reinforcements.

I've read about that, but as someone said there, there is a problem if the vehicle drives straight into the enemy base. Also, what if you're playing on a map such as Tsunami, where you are on four islands with no connectors?

Good ideas though :p

Landborne Reinforcements are those glyders, no?

Simple - they came from a near outpost or something.

A hovercraft?

Yeah, still the problem of the Hovercraft inside the enemy base, but does that actually happen? Does a Paradrop Plane ever appear over the enemy base?
