How manyn chemiostry students end up being chemists then?
All Sciences are rubbish, you don't need to understand them. You can learn the facts word for word and not have a clue what it's about and get full marks. You can't do that with English, or History, or Psychology, or any of the arts.

I'd say a lot of chemistry students (here anyway) end up doing something with chemistry.
Regarding your second statement, I can say you're wrong there, from my own personal experience. Chemistry at secondary school is in no way comparable to that of the university study Chemistry. You have to understand the matter in order to pass all your tests. And if you really believe that knowing facts but not understanding the matter will be enough to graduate from an university study, then may the Force be with you when you're going to study something.

Ha. I got a B in Chemistry for not listening the entire way through and revising the last two weeks. Biology is even worse. In English, quite a few people had to leave after getting U's cause you need to understand things.
