Turning up the security settings does not sound like good advice. I tryed it and nothing works. I'd rather risk downloading some rubish, than using high settings.

just use another browser for a while, like firefox or something. That's what I'm doing

Firefox won't help you. It are the servers themselves that are infected :)

it is only sent through Internet Explorer. Firefox is immune. :)
