Mc90s are about the size of Mc80s. We could make the NR able to build Super-class ships, or Viscounts. However, that will take forever to do. At least the viscounts. And the supers (Megalodor) would be very late in the tree.
well to have any sense of time line like PR does it would have to be very very late in the tech tree.. the rebellion just didn't have anything like that and neither did the NR for the longest time. MC90's are about the size of MC80's.. but the weapons are better since, I believe, the MC90 classes were designed as warships and not retrofitted to fill that role.

I can see the purpose froma balance persepctive but this seems to me to create the danger of having the NR start to play like the Empire. That seems a slippery slope to mediocrity. Shouldn't we be looking to give the Rebels more ways to defeat ships that size? Is there any evidence that the New Republic ever built such a thing? Does it seem like they used star Dreadnoughts against the Vong? I'm just having trouble fitting it into the canon, that's all.We have the Lusankya. I just think we could use a larger NR dreadnought. It would be at the end of the tree, on the same level, as, say, the K-wing.

well.. I never said make up a 19km long ship for us .. the original question was simply if we would get a ship larger then a Bulwark or MC120.. and we have ways to defeat ships that size already.. mass amounts of x-wings, e-wings or k-wings or b-wings.. probably y-wings.. you get the idea..would do it.. you could also cheat and use the game engine to jump ships in the blind spot.. but where is the fun in that? We do know that the NR built ships larger than the two I mentione din the timeline PR is using.. hence my original question. As far as I know.. the Rebels/NR/GAnever built a ship the size of a SSD, the 19km one . So a ship that size for us, short of Wedge, simply shouldn't be allowed.

So, we're looking for a Rebel Star-Cruiser or Star-Battlecruiser then? yes.. but my comment was they had nothing on a size scale of 19km.. Te Viscount and Mediators aren't that big.... lest I don't think so.The addition of the Lucrehulk would be useful... The Mediator class Battlecruiser would be cool to see too, but unfortunately it does not have canonical stats at the moment. Maybe a Mandator would be good too, but it was not used by the Rebels apparently and it doesn't have canonical stats either... And feld, the Rebels, or at least the NR, did use huge warships, remember the Viscount-class Star Defenders and the Mediators fighting the Yuuzhan Vong? And the Viscount at least was also used to fight Imperials earlier in the timeline.
I stand corrected.. I just looked it up.. I didn't realize a Viscount was that big... of course it's not 19km .. only a small 17km long... lol

Actually, no I didn't remember becase I've not gotten that far in the timeline with my reading. I really was asking, not being sarcastic (I know...it's unusualThe addition of the Lucrehulk would be useful... The Complete Encylcopedia appears to have this Mediator in it so I guess it's canon... all we'd need would be models and firing bones I guess, right?

To answer your question, there's really a huge canonical gap in usable NR warships between 4 km and 17 km right now. There are some names, but not much else. We could conceivably give them captured or appropriated battleships to start a campaign - Clone Wars castoffs or Dark Empire background ships - but it would likely require an art team to realize.
If the canon continues to stagnate on this and lord X releases his updated Viscount model (I haven't checked on it recently), then you'll probably see that unit in the mod eventually, just not for the upcoming release. There is a hypothetical Level 5 to the tech trees and that's where the Viscount would go.
