Do you get that error if you are not hooked; i.e. you just start the steam version of the game normally?

What I wanted to know was whether you got the error when you did not use the launcher at all (when you are unhooked), so I could know whether the launcher was causing the error or the Steam install.

Oh alright sorry. No I did not get the error with the Steam install, I did get it with the launcher though. Also another thing is when I hook RA 3 and I try to launch it with the steam install it doesn't launch at all.

I need to be clear. If you launch directly from Steam, say, do you get the error? I mean, could you launch and then play the Single Player without the error?

Ehm I don't know if you are looking what the problem is or if you are doing someting else, but could you reply if you find a solution?

I had a long phone call. Sorry. I don't know what the problem is at the moment. Right now, I can only suggest uninstalling the launcher completely and installing it again.

E: If you do that though, you should make sure that you run Steam "as Admininstrator" before you make your short cut, then run the launcher "as administrator" before you hook.
