Cool, I'll drop you a PM and you can test if you can import my OBJ without hassle. I just had one guy that tried but the UV mapping was screwed... Not sure if it might require Max 8?
Easy rigging?

It shouldn't require max 8.. So not entirely sure what's going wrong there
Maybe try exporting to a different file format? (Although OBJ should work just fine...)

Ive no idea coz ive used this program about 20 minutes. But what I did is
-import model
-import texture map(bottom right corner toolbar)
-draw model, texture auto applied for me
-export tool top right corner
-save as obj
-import to max
also if it helps my version is zbrush 4R7, erm, not sure if thats static or not
This post is probably completely unhelpful lol. Theres no export settings or anything

Hehe yeah, that's what I do, and did... This is so strange indeed.
In ZBrush, I:
- Sculpt my model
- Paint the high res model
- Topologize manually into low res
- Export as OBJ.
Then I import to Headus UV Layout and
- Manually UV map the low res model.
- Export again as OBJ, with UV.
Finally I import the UV mapped model back into zBrush and
- Adjust the UV map
- Copy the high res painted model into the same scene
- Project the polypaint from the high res to the low res UV map
- Make and save a texture (TIF) from that
- Export the low res model as OBJ, with UV and texture map.
I don't change any settings for export... and Ealendril of Edain mod has imported and rigged a few models for me this way. Azog, warg, Yazneg...

WOW, that rigging looks flawless! Only one "problem"... it's not Fimbul. That is Yazneg and he's already rigged.
I'll talk to you via PM =)
