Hello, not sure if this is the right forum for troubleshooting but I was wondering what directory in Steam should I place the config and .big files? Or will it not work with the latest version of the game?

If it says that you need to place something in the game's directory, it should be somewhere like this:

C:\Program Files (x86)\Steam\SteamApps\common\Command & Conquer 3 Tiberium Wars

For My Documents, it's

C:\Users\[USERNAME]\Documents\Command & Conquer 3 Tiberium Wars\mods (create the mods folder if it's not there)

For Application Data, it's

C:\Users\[USERNAME]\AppData\Roaming\Command & Conquer 3 Tiberium Wars

From the ReadMe file:

To install, simply put the config.txt and deezire.big files in the following directory;-
C:\Program Files\Electronic Arts\Command & Conquer 3\Lang-english\1.1\

I've managed to find the equivalent path and place both files, making a backup of the config.

C:\Program Files (x86)\Steam\steamapps\common\Command and Conquer 3 Tiberium Wars\Lang-english\1.1

EDIT: it only seems to disable the intro video as stated in the Readme, it doesn't seem to have added wall hubs in.

- Disables intro video
- Fixes a couple of bugs in the AI object listings
- Adds string support for missing Intel Database and Transmission Log entries (see below)
- Adds buildable walls to all 3 factions - I also changed the maximum length of each placed wall to
prevent players being able to place one huge wall down in one go

Makes no sense to put all of it in Lang-english. For one thing, it's a better idea to put it in the 1.9 folder instead of 1.1. It'd mostly just change the strings, for another. Tell me where you've downloaded it so I can quickly investigate it.

This is where I downloaded it from:

I also tried putting it in the 1.9 folder instead however the game would just crash on me with a "Did you remember to build data" message along with a list of errors below it.

Think I figured out why it doesn't work. Put everything except the IDB folder to Core\1.1 . That's where you can see patch1.big to which the modified Config.txt file refers to.

If you want, you can put the IDB folder to C:\Users\[USERNAME]\AppData\Roaming\Command & Conquer 3 Tiberium Wars\Profiles\[PROFILENAME] , which would in theory overwrite your Intelligence Database so that every entry is unlocked. Not necessary, IMO.

Hmm, just tried doing that as explained, as before the intro movie is cut off as it should, tried to test building walls with skirmish but it still isn't showing up. :(

Okay. Remove it from Core\1.1 and place the old Config.txt in its place. Try putting the necessary files to Core\1.9, but modify Deezire's Config.txt to this:

add-big deezire.big
add-big patch9.big
add-config ..\1.8\config.txt
If that doesn't work, I'm out of genuine ideas :\

Well, unfortunately that just popped up an error too, thank you for your help anyway. Hopefully some other users will have a look. :/
