Hey,

My copy of RA3 isn't working with the launcher. I create a desktop shortcut via Steam, which works fine, then I open the C&C Online launcher, and try and hook the game but nothing shows up. When I try and launch the game the RA3 logo comes up, and then I get the error message "Application load error 5:0000065434" and the logo quits. I have added them as exceptions on my anti-virus (AVG). I'm using XP SP3.

  How are you launching the game?  When I hooked mine I received no notification but was launching the game from the CnC launcher not the Steam shortcut. 

 

  Once I wised up and launched from the Steam shortcut I received no errors.

You will not always get a notification when you hook the game, even if the hooking is successful.    As XIAO said, run the launcher as admin before you hook.    You might also try running Steam as admin before you make the shortcut.
