Is there any chance we could get a sneak peek at Foehn MBT? :-) Unless that's a spoiler or something, of course :-)

Foehn Revolt sounds less like a intergovernment sponsered organization. And more along the lines of brotherhood of Nod.

Quite sneakily, the Stolen Tech image was updated: http://mentalomega.c...tech_roster.jpg
Future Tank is now gotten from Foehn. Considering that Speeder posted on twitter about Kanegawa Industries working on the new Future Tank model, I think that pretty much confirms the long speculated and pretty much super obvious connection of Foehn to Kanegawa.
Also, Phantasm.

So the new future tank is going to be hovering and will fire anti omni lasers and be a hero unit.
I can dream.

Also, considering the original teal attack of the Future Tank, and the attack of the Iron Dragon, and some other units of Foehn, it seems their main technology might be some sort of nano-plasma thing, I guess, aoe attacks that linger for a while.
Though, I still have no idea how the Grumble comes from the Allies. Their radar/airforce technology?

After seeing what we did to the vanilla sides, what would you like to see for the brand new one?
I'd very much like to see in-depth tutorials (for both 1v1 and team matches):
- effective openers
- defending against different types of rushes
- how to effectively use each unit
- counters to specific units
- strategies that can only be done by specific units
- DOs and DON'Ts
- map specific strategies
- and so on.
and also for the other 3 factions. I know that there are basic info of each unit/structure at mentalomega.com, but that's all they are, basic. Also, I'm sure that after months of playing, people will be able to figure these out for themselves, but I'm too lazy, plus I'd rather spend my spare time playing instead of studying the game. I don't expect the devs to make these tutorials coz they already have too much on their plates, but maybe some of the decent MO players out there can.
**************
Another thing I'd like to see is a Super Weapon created by joining lower tier vehicles together, kind of like 'The Hand of Ruk' from Grey Goo, or Voltron. It'll probably be difficult to make vehicles permanently stick together (I can't recall any units in RA2/YR that do this), but maybe each time a unit is connected, the entire voxel for the larger Voltron/Epic unit is changed, with the new unit attached to it. Ginormous units, such as the Irkalla, are always fun to play with.
**************
Comiic strip type cutscenes (like in Street Fighter V). Of course I'd prefer live-action FMVs with Speeder and other MO devs, Doom Hammer, SoKane (SoScared from OpenRA) doing the acting in front of a green screen, but that's just not gonna happen. A few nicely illustrated cartoons would be a more realistic possibility though.
**************
The 'WHOA' factor. A twist or surprise ending that will make players go "WHOOAAA!!! So THAT'S why... (insert awesome twist/surprise explanation here)!"

Inb4 MO will have anime cutscenes. :V
You know, I wonder how those cameos above are made. It seems like if the voxels were somehow changed to models and that's how they are made? Or they are deliberately that small and pixelated to hide the fact that they are voxels. Mentioned multiple times, that if there were 3D models available, I couild probably do some 3D cutscenes using the game engine I use at work. Though, they would still look like cutscenes made with a game engine, rather than pre-rendered.

Consdering in RA3 Uprising Harbingers came straight down from the sky, I consider the support power summon a nice touch to it, albeit a bit unexpected, I thought they'd be buildable.
Phantasm reminds me of the Valkyrie Transport, I really thought it'd had more of a plasma cannon or something, it didn't give the impression much of being able to fire volleys of projectiles

So, with the epic news bulletin, Foehn's connection to Kanegawa and also the Chinese have become even more obvious.
HOWEVER!
With the description of the Phantasm, we have glimpsed of the timeframe of their existence and creation.
It says:
"To Foehn, the Mirage is one of the technologies lost in the chaos that unfolded during the Battle for Antarctica. Upon finding an Allied Tech Center, chances are that the Clairvoyants will be able to recover this technology."
Take note how the bold parts were worded. The Battle for Antarctica, to most of the MO fans who were here for 2.0 would be something familiar; the Final Mission; also for the Allies in YR. So there is a Battle for Antarctica in ACT2 as well... however, for the Phantasm, it is past tense. Now look at the other bold parts. The technology, one of the main technology of the EA, and the Allies in general was lost. And when you find an Allied Tech Center... no, not "when you infiltrate an Allied Tech Center" but "Upon finding an Allied Tech Center" THEN you might be able to RECOVER the technology.
This points to a few interesting possibilities:
- In ACT2, we know that Yuri and his Epsilon attacks.
- There's a Battle of Antarctica, which ends in chaos and disaster.
- The Allies are possibly completely destroyed during the Battle of Antarctica. Or if not completely, they effectively cease to exist as a superpower.
- The Foehn Revolt forms using technology left unfinished by the Allies and the Chinese. It seems, something happened with the Chinese as well.
- The first Foehn mission, according to the released loading screen, already shows a mission where you attack an Epsilon base, even though they are supposed to be revealing themselves in the first missions of ACT2.
- Notice that while it was confirmed that Foehn will have a campaign, because the MO team would never do the same mistake as Westwood, in most recent media, ACT2 is still referred to have only 36 missions.
Conclusions:
- Foehn's campaign is ACT3.
- During ACT2, the Allies are destroyed as a superpower, and possibly the Soviets don't fare well either, considering that China had to abandon many captured projects from KI.
- Something chaotic happens during the Battle of Antarctica, which causes the above. However, it seems Epsilon remains standing. Since it was confirmed that all final missions of ACT2 are canon, this might mean that the Battle of Antarctica might be the three final missions.
- According to the Future Tank descriptions, many years pass, and then some people reactivate Kanegawa tech using their advanced tech.
- The Foehn Revolt are the last free people of Earth revolting against the mindcontrolled masses of the Epsilon Empire. Their main bases are in hiding, or mobile. They might be hidden in the skies or under water. They might have a Last Bastion of hope. They are the wind of change to a world enslaved.

......Holy crap she's right *BRAINWAVE OVERLOAD!*
It makes sense...... Dear god.... WHERE WERE YOU PEOPLE FOR C&C 3?! IT COULD'VE GONE RIGHT DAMNIT!
Haaah JK..
EDIT: So is the Foehn Campaign during doomsday? Or will it take place in a mission to the past? To prevent the future Epsilon Empire? Cus if it's the latter.... Terminator.

So many juicy hints, thank you so much for this. It made my day! :-) Also - models look amazing, level of detail is awesome.
So far it seems that ACT 2 will go from bad to worse for Allied forces. I wonder if Scorpion Cell will survive, too. Yuri doesn't share power without benefit for himself, after all.
That part about the battle for antarctica - there is a hint to that available for some time. Irkalla description states that after it was deployed, no Allied nor Soviet force were able to set foot there. Implications unpleasant.
BTW - are there any plans to kill off heroes in campaign?

So it is confirmed that the Soviet came out victorious........I guess the missile defenses at Britain wasn't enough.
Now all that left is.......by the time Foehn start it revolt, does the Soviet still exist? Or Epsilon owned the world already?
These many hints indeed means that Foehn are remnants of the Allies.
It makes senses that most of theirs units are robotic, because they don't have many people left and there's that mind control thing.
They are fighting against almost the entire world.

Soviet commander in ACT 1 was preparing his escape to USA, should the need arise. Also some of his operations were to endear USA to himself. So its perfectly possible that Allies and Soviets united into Foehn in world's darkest hour. Scorpion Cell COULD join, too. Rashidi wants best for Africa. Yuri wants world for himself. If Rashidi and Malver get this in time, they could join, too. Soviets have cybernetic expertise already, so its perfectly reasonable to assume that Foehn are union between Soviet and Allied remnants.
Also - in sneak peek videos Kappa tanks were purple (main Epsilon Colour). Its perfectly reasonable to assume that its Foehn VS Epsilon in the end.
Jesus, it gets more apocalyptic by every minute i think about it.

I guess the chaotic antartica incident must be based of the last mission from the allies in RA2.Only that this time the soviets and allies didnt win by spaming chronosphered apocalypse tanks but instead get sweeped by Irkalia.
I guess the mission in-game would be a defense mission to survive until irkalia comes in to win.

Maybe its Allied and Soviet Assault then Epsilon repulses it by sending in Irkalla. So it could be - establish a foothold as Allies, then Soviets bring their might in a desperate attack on Mental Omega device, then its Epsilon mission where you destroy them all, but get to see Foehn rising. Somehow.

It seems that Allied has the Sigma Harmonizer, maybe it is named "paradox" as we all see in the video (). So I guess the Sigma Harmonizer is activated to slow down the time of an area (The Catastrophe outside!), which is named the Last Bastion and located at the Alaska. The people inside spend many years to build an army with cutting-edge technologies, while there are only a few days of rest for their enemy who live outside that area (Epslion?).
And China has a device for researching KI's technologies (the Foehn trailer shows), however it is destroyed or captured by the Russia (http://www.moddb.com...rtwork#imagebox).
