Red Alert 3 C&C Online Mod Launching

Best Answer Plokite_Wolf, 04 August 2015 - 09:27 PM

Get the fixed TUC launchers (linked in the Common Issues and Solutions thread) and disable Origin for all games within TUC. TUC needs that to run parameters and, hence, mods. Go to the full post

Hello, I have a question about how to get Red Alert 3 Shock Therapy to use the C&C online servers rather than trying to use the dormant Gamespy ones. The mod launches through the original Red Alert 3 Game Launcher which the C&C Online launcher bypasses on my pc. This prevents me from being able to launch the mod because the game instantly starts. If anyone could help I would appreciate it, Thanks.

What I am using:

The Ultimate Collection Via Origin

Shock Therapy Version: 1.011

Windows 10

I have already applied the updated launchers and turned off origin. The mod itself starts up and works fine, the trouble is that i cannot start the mod with the C&C Online launcher because it starts the base game. The Shock Therapy mod is formatted where it can only be launched through the red alert 3 game browser. If I launch it through the game browser then it does not open with c&c online. The Online option in the game is trying to sign into the old gamespy service. Is there a way to get the C&C Online launcher to open the Red Alert 3 Launcher instead of opening the actual game?

Try this:

Create a another shortcut for C&C:Online (which should point to C:\Program Files (x86) [or just "Program Files" if your OS is 32 bit ]\CNCOnline\cnconline.exe)

Then add parameter " -ui" to the target on that shortcut.

Start C&C:Online Launcher with this shortcut, then start RA3 with your C&C:Online Launcher, and theoretically you'll able to see the RA3 launcher, I don't know if that is its name, anyway it's a window like this:

ra3ui.PNG

Click on the replay browser and then click on the "Mod" tag, choose your mod and you'll able to launch your game with mod.

Ok, so i did add ui to the target but for some reason the launcher continues to bypass the C&C RA3 Game Browser/Launcher, could the hook ability be affecting it?

Shortcut: "C:\Program Files (x86)\Revora\CNCOnline\cnconline.exe"ui"
