I changed my options.ini to this to try to improve my connection to others.

FirewallBehavior = 1
FirewallNeedToRefresh = FALSE
FirewallPortAllocationDelta = 0
FirewallPortOverride = 16000

Doing this made me unable to connect to others, for some reason.

Can you find out which of these lines is causing the problem?

"To know what question we may reasonably propose is in itself a strong evidence of sagacity or intelligence. For if a question be in itself incongruous and begs for uncalled-for answers, it holds, sometimes, besides embarrassing the proposer, the disadvantage to seduce the unguarded listener into giving absurd answers, and we are presented with the ridiculous spectacle of one (as the ancients said) milking the he-goat, and the other holding a sieve beneath."

Did you also set up port forwarding on UDP port 16000 in your router when you made this change? If you set FirewallPortOverride = 16000 without also configuring port forwarding, it will certainly not work.

I checked that the port was open of course. It was and is, according to the port checker program linked to on this forum.

Out of those lines, I only change 'FirewallNeedToRefresh = TRUE' to 'FALSE' and then added 'FirewallPortOverride = 16000'. Oh and I did also delete the GameSpyIPAddress.

I have re added the 'FirewallPortOverride = 16000' line to see if it's that.

If it is, then I'm wondering why the port checker says that port is open.

Edit: Tried to play and it seems it was that line. The port checkers says the port is open though. Either way, it doesn't matter, I can now play on T3A.

Which port checker is that? In case you refer to the NATNegTest utility, that one does not check whether a specific port is open or not.

I used this https://portforward....p/portcheck.htm.

It is the recommended program in the 'Fixing Connection Issues' thread in this forum.
