I am using the normal version of both games, no steam, no origin. The problem i'm having is that I can not connect to most other players, occasionally i do find someone i can connect to. I've had this problem with my last PC too, got a brand new one today. It has a clean windows 10 installed, no hamachi. When I join a game's lobby most of the time instead of seeing the strongness of the connection it shows a grey mark which i think indicates that there cant be a connection made. I have the same sort of problem with Battle for middle earth online, which also uses revora. I am able to connect to the server and join lobbies, but not connect to the players. Here are my TEMP logs. the problem is always there, not a certain time of the day.

Please could you disable Windows Firewall (and any other firewalls you have installed, e.g. packaged with anti virus software) and see if that helps?     If not, you may need to Port Forward or to set your computer as the DMZ (from your modem- you will need to Google your modem to see how to do that).

I have no firewall turned on, and no anti virus installed. Under here are the router settings i have to open the ports, the problem is, is that apparently those settings dont open the ports but im doing it exactly like tutorials say. The only thing that's different now with my new PC is that the IP is 172.19.3.105 instead of 172.19.3.104 but with the old PC I had the exact same problem anyways. I also set me as dmz host as you can see.

Kane's Wrath uses UDP ports 8088-65535 and if you're forwarding specific ports, you need to forward all of that range, so that is something you could fix to start with.    If you've successfully set your PC as the DMZ, everything should get sent there anyway though.     I would remove the forward to port 16000.   As far as I am aware, it doesn't do anything particular in TW and KW.

I would check the IP address of your computer again. It could have been re-allocated by your modem (unless you set that address as static on your PC). If you open a command prompt and type "IPConfig", that should show you the address of your network card.

I have to say that I am surprised that you are able to get the disk versions of the games working with Win 10, as it does not support DRM, which the disk versions use.    That is a different issue altogether though.

Ye.. im kinda stuck, i think the problem about is is that port forwarding just doesnt seem to work for me somehow, with any port checker it just always says it's closed, even though i have those options saying its open. I have no idea anymore, ill try removing port 16000 thingy, and also try adding 8088-65535. And i've checker the IP ye, its 172.19.3.105 now since i got my new pc IP4 adress = 172.19.3.105 . Do i have to do anything with the gateway number?

I reset my router, with settings of me being dmz host and opening port 8088-65535, but it still does not work sadly. it's quite frustrating.

You connect sometimes though (just not very often)? Maybe it's a quality of service issue and not something blocking you. You could try to use a cable instead of WiFi and try to reduce electrical noise from the connections coming into your modem (keep mains leads away from incoming telephone wires).

I think i maybe know what the problem is, i have to use port redirection. it is the dreytek version of port forwarding. But I have to choose 2 ports. The one the information arrives at and then one that it is send to. I figure i have to put 16000 where it arrives but how do i find out where to send it? I guess i have to choose from the ports shown in the picture i've attached. but i am not sure

I seem to be able to connect to quite a few people but whenever a game starts it instaly dcs when it is loaded, and then waits on the screen saying like, a player has disconnected but they might reconnect and stuff.

(edit) I finaly managed to forward the port, but now im idd stuck on the problem that it goes to the DC screen when the game is loaded.

When you check if your port are opened, does they are opened or still closed?

I may advice you to set a static adress ip, portforward to it (bidirectionnal; in/out), and check again if port are opened or closed

Ports forwarded was false hope, it did not work. They are still not opened. I set a static IP forwarded the ports on that IP but it still does not open them. :c I cant connect to most people again, i think it was just luck that one time.

I think we have a misunderstanding. How is your computer connecting to your modem?

I don't know how you are checking whether your ports are open or not, but if the game is not running, the ports in issue will probably not be "open". Only the ports on which the game is waiting for packets from the other players in the game will be open. I would put that issue to one side for the moment.

Also you should forward for only UDP and not for TCP.

Just a speculation:

Could those few ppl taht you can connect to be ppl taht do NOT have the ultimate collection installed, but the normal versions?

I got the exact same problem here. Couldn't solve it either. A friend of mine got himself the Ultimate Collection, I didn't. He bought himself this UC-Patch so he would have less problems with ppl who don't have it, yet we can't build up connection to each other (tho i can read what he writes and so on). Could the difference between the versions be root of the problem?
