Thanks, you, really good work, I will use the model in my next mission :D

Oh, I totally forgot about that model. Haven't played this mission for a while ;)

I converted the model as a motor boat so it even moves back and forth on the water.

You'll probably have to adjust the MIS script and create an ANI file for it.

Wow this is amazing! great work! What about the big german pak cannon that the GB or enemies can carry in the 2nd stalingrad mission

Wasn't there a portable machine gun too? Can't remember been so long since played C3 campaign

I guess it's possible to convert the PAK as a stationary object that just stands somewhere on the map and can't be interacted with.

And the portable machine gun is probably impossible to convert because of the stuff that's hard-coded in the Commandos3.exe

When I try to use abi converter. I get this error for every abi in c3.

Not a valid ABI file!

Am i doing something wrong?

 

I used a version from salvador which he sent me in link below, then 1.3 version from commandos modding google site but both had same result


Maybe he sent me wrong tool and this for c2 to c3 or something like that?

was trying to convert this earlier, maybe a few others too later, it's from the c3 data.pck so not sure why it doesn't work

OK, I found the problem:

Make sure that you select "Open PCK file for Comm3"  in PCKManager.exe.

 

The files in C3 PCK files are XOR encoded but the archive structure is the same as the C2 PCK. That's why you can extract the files from the PCK but the extacted ABI files are corrupt.

Ok thank you, i was using core extractor that why it didn't work :D

 

Here is the Mercedes that the traitor drives from the Berlin mission converted (best for winter maps)

Converted another type of car, is from the intro in berlin map. Again this one will look better in winter maps (unless someone edits texture of these)

Converted some truck that i'm not sure is even used in C3, but is from the files. Is some radio truck.

And the bus (however there is a graphic problem near the wheels sadly, maybe could be fixed if edit texture, need to somehow make the pink part transparent)
Version 2: Fixed pink graphic issue, but now looks like half the wheel isn't moving, though looks much better than pink I think

Nicely done!

Good to see that you fixed the pink areas. I think we can live with the behaviour of the bus wheels :) Theoretically it's possible to load the model of the bus into 3dsmax and fix the issue but that's just overkill.

 

It's funny to see models from Commandos 3 in a map from Commandos 1 running on Commandos 2.

Thanks, i just edited the texture and put the wheel sprite in each of the pink area which seemed to kind of work.


And what you mean out of time? that's a 1940s bus, hardly a bugatti veyron is it
