Hi!

So I followed the guide for the launcher.

I can start the game via launcher without any problems. However, when I go to multiplayer and type in the "Ea name" etc and press Logon, I only get " The connection time has elapsed". Any ideas what I can do?

Thanks in advance.

Yes. Can you find your Options.ini file and post its contents here?  It's located in your My Battle for Middle-earth II Files folder in Application Data, type %appdata% in the Windows task bar search to find it.

Thanks!

Now, please check the following thread:

Step 2 in particular. Changing your Options.ini should fix your problem.

Port forwarding isn't necessary for your particular problem. Getting onto the server should work with just changing the Options.ini.

On the "Read only" part. Is it for System, User or admins I should configure it for? Hope it works after this

AmbientVolume = 50.000000
AudioLOD = High
Brightness = 50
FirewallBehavior = 1
FirewallNeedToRefresh = FALSE
FirewallPortAllocationDelta = 0

FlashTutorial = 0
HasSeenLogoMovies = yes
IdealStaticGameLOD = High
MovieVolume = 70.000000
MusicVolume = 70.000000
Resolution = 1280 720
SFXVolume = 70.000000
ScrollFactor = 50
SendDelay = no
StaticGameLOD = High
TimesInGame = 17
UseEAX3 = no
VoiceVolume = 70.000000

System, I'd guess. If you're the admin of your PC, it shouldn't matter anyhow.

Try different nicknames and make sure the firewall is allowing the game to connect.

"To know what question we may reasonably propose is in itself a strong evidence of sagacity or intelligence. For if a question be in itself incongruous and begs for uncalled-for answers, it holds, sometimes, besides embarrassing the proposer, the disadvantage to seduce the unguarded listener into giving absurd answers, and we are presented with the ridiculous spectacle of one (as the ancients said) milking the he-goat, and the other holding a sieve beneath."

http://t3aonline.net/

There you can login with your revora forum account and create your server account.

It's all described in http://t3aonline.net/setup/
