hey guys ! i wanna start BFME2 witch king online but the game told me that i must download an update but if i press okey it will show me an error( you must have administrative rights to install the patch.... 
What should i do ? can anyone help me ?

I have followed these steps so far:

 

• Download The Battle for Middle-earth ™. The original unmodified version. Main / Mirror 1 / Mirror 2
• Open tBfMe.iso. This will mount the BfME disk to a virtual drive.
• Launch AutoRun.exe on the disk. Install the game. Need a cd key? (Note: some antivirus programs will flag the keygen. This is a false positive. The keygen is safe.)
• Install patches.
  
  • Download the Battle for Middle-earth v1.03 Patch in your language

After the fourth step I get the following error message when I want to use the update:

 

"Missing or invalid REGISTRY/INI"

 

I have restarted the computer, tried with compability modus (XP, VIsta...)/admintrator rights and reinstalled the game.

But the error is still there.

 

Also, I can only play without the 1.03 update when I have created a Options.ini and used a crack.

 

Do you have some ideas how I can solve the update error?

 

I am using Windows 10.

Hello, after 3 years playing other game i just realize that i really miss this game. Then I came here to download bfme2 and installation is fine so far. But when I want to play with other player in multiplayer online especially with T3A launcher, the game is freeze about 3 minutes and popped up such no connection in EA login page(not T3A page) and cannot click anything and I just go back to main menu automatically. What should i do?

I got both BFME2 and ROTWK installed, but I can't launch any of the games. It keeps asking for the right Disc. Anyone able to help?

Get an old 32 bit computer that hopefully has some life left and your not being ripped off. There's your best answer.

Hi Everyone! It all worked except for RotWK i get the error message as shown below:

BFME 1 & 2 work perfectly fine!

 

I reinstalled everything in english and did all patches in the same order as how they were posted in the description just like the options.ini modifications

Hi. 

 

My question is, if my processor is Intel Core I5, does it mean that I will not be able to play BFME2 after following all steps provided here for installation the game? I already did it, but doesn't matter which resolution I choose, the game gives fatal error and doesn't open. 

 

Would very appreciate if you help me to fix the issue. We can even talk via Skype or even I can give  you control via Team Viewer for looking for any mismatches?

Just wanted to state for the record... the installation guide is foolproof and all the files download, install and work flawlessly. The only thing I didn't verify is the KeyGens as I used my disc serials. But other than that, take my word for it - this is the holy grail for BFME gamers and the community surrounding them. Good job on keeping the only Lord of the Rings RTS gaming heritage alive since the developers abandoned this franchise long ago

Hey! Im getting a 'Unable to Launch BFME2 code

 

Ive got patch switcher installed and Im running a disc.

 

Im also able to run the game fine and play skirmishes

The last three issues sound like a missing options.ini. Please check the Troubleshooting section of this guide.

I downloaded bfme2 and patched it to 1.06 mounted the disc image and have the options.ini but the game crashes when I try to start it with the following error details :

I encountered this problem with error message "Exception Access Violation" when opening the game and found solution for it in here: https://www.neoseeke...me-halp-bfme-1/

 

I think this info could be helpful addition in the guide:

 

This is caused when the options.ini file has not been found.
(installation had no administration right to properly install your game)
Search for a folder named AppData Then open Roaming -> My Battle for Middle Earth Files. You'll probably find that the folder is empty. If it is, open up notepad and save new file to that folder. It should be named Options.ini.
In that file, place this data:

AudioLOD = Low
HasSeenLogoMovies = yes
IdealStaticGameLOD = VeryLow
Resolution = 800 600
StaticGameLOD = VeryLow
TimesInGame = 1

I realised now that there is mention about the options.ini in the quide, but its stated that it has something to do with resolution. It could be helpful to ad a mention about the fact that with this file missing it actually might prevent the game form starting at all.
