I've moved this to the Support Forum but I can tell you the answer now: Don't use the launcher to launch Generals or Zero Hour. If you don't want to play the other supported games, you can remove that (probably best to unhook any games you have hooked first).
Instead install GenTool (which has very effective C&C:Online support) and then just launch your game from the usual desktop shortcut.
