Fair point, but 2k over a lot of models with unnecessary polys is a bit of a waste. Also, if you're going to do this sort of thing, look into baking normal maps, cause you've sculpted a lot of detail on the high-poly one which you've just let disappear on the low one.

I would stay around 1k or even lower; and they would still look good at that poly count, considering the original models. There is no point in potentially lagging the game just for a few more details that nobody looks for anyway (people rarely zoom in).

If EA was able to still make humanoid looking models with 300 poly's, I'm sure that with 1k you can make them pretty detailed.

Yes,I was planning to do that,but I am currently messing with the software.It took me around 15 minutes to sculpt that guy.

 

 

 

ALSO,does anyone have something that they want to see sculpted?I'm losing meh inspiration  :smile2ap:

Try a spider, from scratch. Fairly simple build.

I'm a terrible arachnophobe too. Like, awfully terrified of spiders. Never stopped me making one.

 

In that case though, try another insect then. Centipede, bee, ant, beetle, etc. They're largely made out of very simple basic shapes which can be made to as detailed a degree as you see fit, which is why I suggest it. Try it, it'll help your understanding of 3D.

Heavy use of shaders and sloppy effects does not make for better graphics. It makes for over-the-top contrast/saturation and too many shadows that you call SSAO. I made a ReShade/SweetFX configuration for my own use that actually enhances the game's visuals without making it "look" different. Looks the same just better, unlike this.

Great start. The spikes on the side of the lower walls are a bit much though, any self-respecting Orc wouldn't want to accidentally trip and impale themselves. Perhaps try to take a look at how the BFME structures are constructed for further detailing it before you texture it.
