I would suggest uninstalling again. Go to AppData/Roaming and delete both "My Battle for Middle-earth ™ II Files" and "My Lord of the Rings, The Rise of the Witch-king Files"

 

Afterwards, go about installing BFME 2. Then patch to 1.06. Then install ROTWK. Patch to 2.01. I would recommend running ROTWK just to see if that works. If you need CD-Image, http://online.the3rd...sc/MI-BFME2.rar

 

Afterwards patch to 2.02. Run and see if that works, set settings accordingly. 

 

After having a fully working 2.02 ROTWK working go about installing AotR. Do NOT install in the ROTWK game folder. If you need further help, PM me.

I've managed to get everything working apart from online.. ive dowloaded t3a online and setup that, I've also set up an account for it. however when I go to enter online, I get stuck on the login screen saying I need to update and then if I press okay it shuts my game. Any idea how to fix this?

Ive got the special edition of rotwk and got it from forshire. Is that a problem?

Guys playing AotR yestarday I've noticed that Linhir Pikeman ( Gondor pikeman soldiers) kill barrow wights so fast.

 

I've done a test using Lamedon Clansman (Gondor sworded soldiers), a Barrow Wight kills one, two or even three battalions without problems.

Linhir Pikeman units kills the Barrow Wights so fast and loose just one soldier.

Is it  intentional or it's an unbalance problem ?

Always use a clean version to start from, yes.

Yes the Special Edition from forshire has been noted to cause problems with other programs. It doesn't recognize the version. Download from: https://forums.revor...allation-guide/

Did you reinstall the game from GameReplays? Do NOT use the Special Edition's from forshire. Make sure when you reinstall you delete your files from AppData/Roaming. There are two related to the game. 

 

Also...make sure you patch in the correct order, some people have skipped patching 2.01 and go straight to 2.02. Order below.

 

1. BFME 2

2. BFME 2 1.06 *1.09 Optional, disable if you are not playing it.

3. ROTWK

4. ROTWK 2.01

5. ROTWK 2.02 (Widescreen or Standard) AND New game.dat file *ALL ON SAME PAGE*

6. Test your game. Ensure 2.02 is enabled in the launcher.

 

You can mod the game from this point with any mod that requires 2.02 as a base. Such as AotR. IF you use a mod, such as Edain, you MUST disable 2.02 and put the ORIGINAL game.dat back in it's  place. PM me if you need further help.

Just in case anyone else is having similar issues, I, personally, would test to see if the game launches after patched to it's latest official patch. (1.06 & 2.01)

 

This helps people know if the problem is with your game, 2.02, or a mod issue. Thank you. (:

So ive got the Aotr mod working and have downloaded t3a and hooked rotwk to it. However when i go to start in t3a, it simply says "cant launch rotwk".

 

Any know how to fix this or whether i have done something wrong? Just to repeat my game completely works otherwise and i have played a few skirmish matches as a test.

Do you run as admin? What's in yourT3A launcher logfile in %TMP% ?

yes I run as admin.

 

Also I'm not to familiar with that file, but I found this inside.

That means you're not running as admin, or your PC isn't granting you proper admin privileges...
