Add the game to the exception list in your firewall and antivirus.

Make sure port 16000 is open in your router, or set it to DMZ mode altogether.

192.168.8.101 is your private LAN IP and it shouldn't be shown in your Network Options screen ingame. Does that menu give you the option of choosing any other IP? If yes, use that.

I'm by no means knowledgeable on routers, specific models particularly, but I think you were on the right track in the DMZ settings menu, where you should've just ticked the Enabled option. Look up Google on more detailed information on this.

If you've enabled DMZ, you don't need to. If not, you'll have to look up instructions for your router model (it's different for every single one).

Extract this tool, run the .bat file and post the output to this thread: http://server.cnc-on.../NATNegTest.rar

Don't bother with Port 16000 in this case. I don't think your DMZ is set up right. The IP address you have in Options->Settings->Network looks right (it is the local address of your computer). You want that to be the DMZ. The local address of your computer can change dynamically, so hopefully your modem will allow you to set the DMZ to the MAC address of the network card you have. Is that what you did?

Can you ask a friend who knows how to set up a router to help you?

If not you will need to Google for some of the technical terms.

"To know what question we may reasonably propose is in itself a strong evidence of sagacity or intelligence. For if a question be in itself incongruous and begs for uncalled-for answers, it holds, sometimes, besides embarrassing the proposer, the disadvantage to seduce the unguarded listener into giving absurd answers, and we are presented with the ridiculous spectacle of one (as the ancients said) milking the he-goat, and the other holding a sieve beneath."

You can try to follow something like: http://portforward.c...Kanes_Wrath.htm

You have to go to the NAT configuration tab in your router.

You have to set it up similar to what is shown in the link.

Before you mess around more with DMZ settings, please follow the last step (diagnostic) of the "How to report issues" topic.
