[C&C3: TW & KW] Game Launch Issue

Best Answer ToxicShock, 24 September 2016 - 01:40 PM

I'm a bit stuck here, because the logs you've posted show that the game patched properly.

Try disabling Origin Services:

Find the services controls (I think it's under Administrative Tools in Win 8-not 100% sure now; use the search facility if necessary).

Find and select "Origin Client Services" in the list.

Stop the service and then set "Start up type" to disabled.

Close the application and then reboot your computer.

Try launching and report back please. Go to the full post

Game Version: Ultimate Collection on Origin

Error Type: Tiberium Wars and Kane's Wrath fail to launch using the C&C Online Launcher "[TW/KW] has stopped working." I have tried running them hooked and unhooked and both produced the standard Windows "[game] has stopped working" window. Both games run normally with Origin. I have also installed Bibber's Ultimate Collection C&C launchers and have tried running them with and without compatibility and administrator both producing the same problem. I have also tried running Origin with and without compatibility and administrator. Not like this matters much but Generals and Generals ZH both work perfectly with the C&C Online Launcher, hooked and unhooked.

Operating System: Windows 8.1 Enterprise N

Error Log:

----- C&C:Online Launcher Start -----

Did you disable "Origin in game", as per the Common Issues & Solutions thread?

Yes I have. Looks like I just forgot to mention that detail. Everything in the Common issues thread has been done with no good result. The problem still exists.

Disabling the Origin Client Services worked. Bypassing Origin completely gets it to work. Thank you for your time and your effort.
